    I always thought shooting downward eliminated concern but I learned that bullets bounce and ricochet like you wouldn’t believe, even when shooting downward.  Just an FYI. 
     
    its actually part of military training for shooters to understand how crazy bullets react.  Not criticizing.  I was surprised myself.

    I can first hand tell you that bullets can and will do some crazy things upon impact. As Chris said, get some tracers and run a few rounds after dark. You will have a whole new view on shooting safety.

    Thin-Skinned?- Really! Well,I remember  when the Great and Knowledgeable G- Man was proven wrong about the Pignut Hickory.
      You got into a rabid Twit when, I provided evidence that the Pignut Hickory and Bitternut Hickory were 2 Different  Trees.
      And it became quite the page Turner when you just would not quit and admit you were wrong..

    Do yourself a favor and buy or borrow an underwater camera. They are definitely entertaining for the kids and Simcoe usually has great clarity and lots to see down there. Tons of whitefish there to catch along with the perch. If you end up "ice camping" bring your own CO detector even if they say they have them.

    Time for a group hug.....
    Larry  50 MM objectives look like s**t and throw off the balance of a nice handling hunting rifle...
    Only a pimp in a New Orleans whorehouse would put one on his rifle..

    Congrats to Duke on a great buck!! Your son looks just as happy! Love the 3 generation pics! Cherish those times and get lots of pics!
    Trust me. We have fun out there and yes, my son is every bit as happy as Duke. We got the call for BBD and I kid you not, my son was almost immediately out the door with just his boots on. No jacket. No hat. No gloves. Lol.

    Did we settle on MLK Day with [mention=762]Chef[/mention] at the helm and @Biz-R-OWorld tagging along with his can of worms?!?

    After doing some steelhead flyfishing in Ohio this fall and having a few crazy run-offs after watching a “bobber” disappear, I may be coming around!
