Yea pre rut would be rite as I seen bucks chasing does head down to ground then he came back and scraped and pissed before leaving then seen a different buck chasing a doe and found a bunch of fresh scrapes on way out

The rut is definatly starting seen multiple bucks chasing does and i hunt in Middlesex haven't witnessed at home Macedon though ..

Yea behind my house I only have 30 acres 2 stands and playing the wind is not really an option so today shooting light almost done and out walks a doe 55+ yrds away upwind and I see her next the momma walks out and boy she was the biggest doe I ever seen thought she was a big buck until gotta good look at her ... Then they were real jumpy walking towards me with the wind howling over 25+ mph and it swirled a couple times put her nose up turned made there way out well so I thought now it was dark I went to get down and off goes a couple other white flags bounding away .... I guess seeing deer was good but the wind spoiled it for me as usual

So when the winds blowing 15+ mph what are your guys thoughts and opinions on deer movement and activities on those days ... do u think they stay bedded or are active from being spooked by wind

Hit a doe last night to track it today over 1.5 miles today and blood trail stopped bye housing so we gave up after 3.5 hours.. my first deer lost and its killing me but back out tonight and hoping I can see another one

Just had two bucks walk bye finally I see something ... now one in range maybe

Slept in after seeing the rain band moving thru middlessex got hit pretty good but now its just about over time to get cleaned up fed and out in the woods ready to let one fly!!!!!!

Hoping this rain stops so my daughter can make her first sit with me in my stand maybe she will bring me luck! !!

Doe and fawn moved thru fawns sleeping 30 yds out and mommy is nowhere to be seen

We'll this drought is not what our muskrat population needed at all probably took a good hit in low waters this year bye predators... wouldn't bother me if they closed it this year to help rebound with the added stress ... but good luck fellas and remember leave some for breeders this year

Coyote hounds you ever keep tract of male and female ratio when skinning rats we have in this area because as u know in many areas rats are in decline....all males this year for me

Went to a fur auction yesterday good outcome with sales talked around not many people look at what sex a rat is and people said maybe female rats were in the huts idk but 4 rats in late November were male not primed but carcass are of good use then 21 rats late January early febuary all male 4 different locations 1 pond no houses 2 holes 2 males ....

Thoughts please this years trapping 3 different places 25to muskrats all male not one female maybe me but looks like that could be our problem with rat population decline......same problem in Florida with gator population mainly male .....???? Water quality
