This is taken from the NYS Office of the Proffesions website. The info below pertains to another RT. This type of info can be searched for all licensed professionals in NYS. As an RT myself I can tell you this guy could have caused some real tragedy for patients and their familys trying to function while drunk. He should not work as a healthcare profesional again. Profession: Respiratory Therapist; Lic. No. 006596; Cal. No. 25751 Regents Action Date: January 10, 2012 Action: Application for consent order granted; Penalty agreed upon: 2 year stayed suspension, 2 years probation, $1,000 fine. Summary: Licensee admitted to charges of having been convicted of Driving While Impaired by Drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor, and Driving While Intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor.

4 boys, 31, 22, 19 and 14. 2 dogs both boys, had 3 different cats in the past all boys, pretty sure the fish are boys as well. My wife says she keeps ordering them in pink and they keep showing up in blue. We have our first grandchild on the way and ... the trend will be broken ! sonogram says girl, although I suppose he could just be shy ! Best feeling ever to hunt or fish with one or all of your kids.

Some Marines are in trouble
JimR replied to 132 eight pointer's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
FYI STATEMENT FROM THE COMMANDANT OF THE MARINE CORPS HEADQUARTERS MARINE CORPS (Jan. 12, 2012) - "I have viewed an internet video that depicts Marines desecrating several dead Taliban in Afghanistan. I want to be clear and unambiguous, the behavior depicted in the video is wholly inconsistent with the high standards of conduct and warrior ethos that we have demonstrated throughout our history. Accor...dingly, late yesterday I requested that the Naval Criminal Investigative Service pull together a team of their very best agents and immediately assign them responsibility to thoroughly investigate every aspect of the filmed event. Additionally, I am assigning a Marine General Officer and senior attorney, both with extensive combat experience, to head up an internal Preliminary Inquiry into the matter. Once the investigation and Preliminary Inquiry are complete and the facts have been determined, then the Marine Corps will take the appropriate next steps. Rest assured that the institution of the Marine Corps will not rest until the allegations and the events surrounding them have been resolved. We remain fully committed to upholding the Geneva Convention, the Laws of War, and our own core values." -
What is the reason for owning a firearm that holds more then 5 rounds?.

Amendment II A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. How hard is it to understand this simple text. This is not about hunting , or crime this is about the "security of a free State" The authors of this ammendment clearly felt it important for the general populace to have "arms" in order to have and maintain a free state. -
Sorry to hear you had a disccouraging season. I was forced to begin to hunt state land 2 years ago and have come to the conclusion that opening week is not worth going out. If not for the traditons of opening day such as breakfast with my sons who hunt I would skip the first week all together. After opening week it's a whole new world out there, hunters are few and far between, woods are quiet, it's nice. Hang in there and think about a late season hunt if you'r on State land.

Congrats 5.9, I have 4 boys and have enjoyed watching them grow. Each one different, 2 hunters, 2 non. Now we've got a grandchild on the way and I'm psyched ! Nothing like having a son !

Opinion on Shotgun for DEER/TURKEY/WATERFOWL
JimR replied to Rev Ev's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I have an 870 Wingmaster that's done it all, from wearing a slug barrel, to small game to goose hunting, never a problem in 20 years. My son has a Mossberg 500 and has used both the smooth barrel and slug barrel w/ no prblems. both seem to be good guns, but I sure love that 870. -
Thats why you should never take them down !

Took vacation starting Saturday the 3'rd to hunt. Went down to Cattaraugus St Forest (9M) for a half day hunt. Was in the same area opening day and it was solid hunters, I only saw one other car there on Saturday. Saw 2 doe while hunting my way out to the car. Put the new 30-30 to use and now am waiting for a call from the butcher ! Realized two problems with hunting alone, the drag out to the car, and getting the deer on the roof of the car. I've got to get one of those platforms that attaches to your hitch. So nice to have 2 tags left but can hunt in good weather and stay in and watch it rain !

I've worked in healthcare for the last 20 years, and I hate to say but we men are the worst at seeking help. It's a heck of alot easier to do a 10 day course of antibiotics at home, rather than wait a week or 2 and end up in the hospital. Take your meds, nip the problems in the bud and get the hell out and hunt !

There are 2 pieces of state land in the E Otto area, Cattaraugus St Forest and E Otto St Forest. I'm hoping that Cattaraugus has emptied out from opening day, it was like rush hour out there. I'll be heading back week of the 9'th. Here's a link to a nice tool for finding State land, if that's what you're looking for. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/45415.html

This safe keeps getting better. So far Dicks has reduced the price twice from the time I bought it. Each time I head over to Dicks and the refund the difference. I'm over $150.00 in refunds ... so far, I hope they end up giving the things away ! At long as it's within 30 days of my purchase !

I started hunting state land last year. On opening day it's wall to wall, as it was Saturday. If what I saw last year holds true again, in a few days the land will be vacant. I couldn'nt get time off until the week of Dec 9. I anticipate having the place almost empty, especially Mon - Fri.

Starting a new tradition this year, I'll be carrying my first center fire rifle out deer hunting. A new Marlin 30-30 stainless lever gun. My 19 yr old will get the old Ithaca model 37 w/ rifled barrel. I'm all sighted in w. Rem Core Lokt 150 gr.

I thought this was the "Occupy Wall St" area !

Well the safe was delivered today ! I guess that answers my original question of how to move a gun safe, pay some strong guys to do it ! After seeing it done I believe with a few guys and a dolly it is very doable, but I don't regret hiring it out. I bolted the safe in place using lead lag shields and the lag bolts supplied with the safe. I put the safe on a carpeted concrete floor and found I could slide it around fairly easily, making the drilling process easy. They really are optimistic about gun capacity , the safe is supposed to hold 16 to a side, I put 10 on one side and that sees maxed out to me. Shelving on the other side for ammo, knives ect. Thanks for all your comments. I am pleased with this safe so far, bolts on all four sides of the door, fire AND water rated ( 2 feet for 72 hrs.), great price, (on sale now at Dicks 650.00). I'm hoping I never have to find out just how much heat, water and burgler attack this thing can really withstand but it does provid a alot of peace of mind.

CulverCreek, Thanks for the tip on the Tapcons, they sound like the way to go. Jim

Burmjohn, How did you anchor the safe ? My thought was lead mollies into the cement floor, I did'nt think they would fit through the pre drilled holes in the safe ?
-
I'm anxiously awaitng delivery on Wed. The best news was that the new Dicks ad came out yesterday and the safe was $50.00 less than what I paid. I called the store and they said bring in the recipt and I'll get the additional savings. I like the pvc idea as I'll need to put the safe in place, mark the floor for drilling bolt holes, move the safe, drill, and replace the safe. Then bolt her down and fill it up.

For the home defense aspect I like the idea of the Taurus pistols that will fire .410 shotgun shells. I don't know how they are on the wallet though.

Thanks for the tips guys. I found a 32 gun Field and Stream safe on sale at Dicks and bought it. I 've decided I saved enough with the sale price to pop for the $200.00 the local movers want to pick it up, deliver it and put it down in the basement.
-
I will be purchasing a gun safe very soon and would like to save the $ 200.00 my local delivery company charges to pick one up and put it where I want it in my home. How hard are these things to manuever ? Mine will be in the 500 - 600 lb range., and will need to go down 4 stairs. I can borrow a pick-up , and would gladly rent an appiance dolly, if it would be usefull. Any ideas ?

I couldn't get vacation until Dec 4 - 10. Any thoughts on best approach to hunt public land this late in the season. I prefer to sit , but don't mind still hunting. I REALLY don't like tree stands. Thanks for your thoughts.
