I saw a few out last night in 2 different spots that have been quiet for over a month. Figure they sense the thaw and its time to strap on the feedbag again without crunching around in the snow. those pregnant does gotta get to eatin

adding to Moog5050's tarp idea, I hang the deer over one of those rubbermaid brute garbage cans with a 3mm contractors bag in it and just cut and drop the waste right in it
-
How about caribou? Its on my list but once again it falls into that expensive category

and were they limiting you to a 3 box purchase?

It was a pretty general , simple question as some pro staffers do and some do not. No idea why you took such offense to it. You could have just left it alone if you weren't sure of why I was asking or you could have PM'd me to be certain but instead started a rant. Clearly you are the poster child of politeness. moving on, good luck

As a pro staffer do you have to pay for the cameras?

Moose struck on Taconic Parkway. The article is on Lohud website, my copy & paste is not cooperating right now. maybe someone else can try

have to skip tomorrow but fri-sun looks good. cold and light winds. put some time in before the season wraps up so I wont have any regrets over the winter that I "should've been out there"

for stand or blind stationary hunting I avoid the rubber they dont keep feet warm enough. walking in is fine but an hour+ later your feet will have worked up a sweat and start getting cold in my experience since rubber does not breathe. if you are on foot still hunting they could work and you dont have think twice about walking through water and mud. If your sitting still for the day you may want a pac style boot with removable liners or regualr waterproof hunting boot with 1000gram+ thinsulate. maybe some stick on toe warmers just in case

for straps, just a little cracked black pepper. heat pan to med/high and melt little butter then nice sear all around . once in awhile I'll put a shot or 2 of bourbon in the pan after the first flip.

Amato's in Somers -
I meant 20 yards apart but I did see bear poop last yeara a few hundred yards away from these trees. I did see a flash of what resembled a buck the size of a moose last year close to these rubs but very little sign around except for these.
-
these 2 pics taken at dusk so they arent the clearest. will try to get more next week. The bottom of the rubs are 5-6 high and the 2 trees about 2 yards apart. I didnt notice any others in the area but these 2 stuck out for sure. think there is a large beast lurking ! ??
-
or maybe it also a knife on the right but either way, threatening the camera !!
