  4. Thanks ;D It shoots pretty well , basically just a trigger job, bent bolt, and drill and tap the scope mount. Next time I go to the range Ill post some pics of groupings. BTW normally I do not normally do anything to my C&R guns I cant turn back on. The Swedish Mauser I deer hunt with is dead stock. Same with the rest of my guns. However the Mosins are so plentiful and cheap I did it more to see if I could. Really my first delve into light gunsmithing. Have to say I enjoyed it immensely and I like the results.

  6. BTW +1 on the Mosin Nagants. Here is a pic of one that had mismatched serials so I went to town on it.
  7. my old go to for deer is my swedish mauser , deadly accurate. I use a K31 for varmint shooting.

  10. Its funny because I was actually looking to go the other way. My buddy with a bird dog just moved away and I was looking for a place that took care of such particulars as I dont have the time or the property to train a dog, Anybody have any suggestions ?
