Are you for Rob Astorino, I am
ants replied to GrouseHunter's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
At this stage of the game we shouldn't have to look too hard. I see the little King's pathetic, lying face all over. I see or hear an ad for Astorino only once in a while. Maybe its a regional thing, as far as face time, but more limey it a money thing. -
A friend carried one for years along with his shot gun. He used the shotgun most of the time but he did take a few deer with the 35. It worked well. He hasn't hunted with it in years.

Thanks for the info. Looks like the silver bullet might be to wait until fall to hit it & hope for better results next year. So far Im just wasting my time and $

Does anyone have any tips on get rid of creeping charlie?? I have been battling this stuff since last year with almost no positive results. I have used two different brands of weed killer (Spectricide and Bonide) Both claim to kill it, but its not working. I gave it a dose a couple days ago. Just checked it and ..nothing. It looks the same.

Got it..Do the pre issued coupons expire at any time ?
-
The only thing you need to buy a hand gun is a valid NY pistol permit. Whether you leave with it, depends on what county you are in. Most counties require that the gun stays with the dealer until you have it put on your permit, receive a purchase coupon from the county and return to the dealer with a purchase coupon. But a few counties pre issue the coupon, allowing you to take the gun as soon as you buy it. You then have, I think its 5 days but I might be wrong on that, to put the gun on your permit.

Just a FYI…You can release the trigger, on most bolt actions by opening the bolt, release the safety & then close and lock the bolt while holding the trigger back. Thats how I do it anyway.

Definitely a good idea….

Your opinion on best $600-800 30.06 hunting rifle

Its hard.. a lot of good ones out there. Although I have been using an M77 Ruger, for the past 4 or 5 years, I have used an old (early 80's ) Rem 700 in 30-06 for years. Great rifle. I have also used an old Win. 70 and an older Rem. 7400 . …all good. If I had to choose only one???.. the old 700 for sure. But thats just me. Everyone has their favorites. -
LOL!! Its like that old joke….."I don't have to outrun the bear I just have to outrun you!"

I like the Ruger M77. The Savage 111's and 16's are great too.. I hunt with an M77 (wood stock & blued…Im old school) But they are available in stainless with synthetic stocks. Great triggers and very accurate. Same with the 111's and 16's. -
I've mounted a lot of scopes. Never used a torque screw driver. Just use a little lock tight (blue not red) & you will be fine. Dove tail rings should be aligned. There are tools for this but I just use a 1" dowel.

Its a coin toss IMHO. Get the one that you think looks and drives the best.

Forgot all about that!!! LOL !!

Thanks. I'll keep chucking the bad ones I guess. The plant itself is beautiful. Full and green. I bought it from Amish farmers. Some weeks they're at the market and some weeks not. They smutted me.. It has been wet and warm for a while. Thanks.

I bought a patio tomato plant at the farmers market a few weeks back. 20 bucks. Its nice and big. at least 4' tall & almost as wide. Healthy looking. So far every tomato has been black/rotting on the bottom 3rd, as soon as it gets to the size of a golf ball. What the hell?? I planted tomatoes my whole life and have never seen this. Any ideas?? Should I sh..T can the whole plant? I just tossed 5 tomatoes over the fence in disgust.

Thanks….I guess I've knuckled..LOL!!

Rim fire ammo is hard to find right now, including 17. >223 is probably the cheapest center fire ammo so I would go for that. For just a plinker…the Savage Axis, bolt action is around 325 - 350 new. Decent rifle. If you want to spend more, the list is pretty long.
-
What does "knuckled" mean?? I know nothing about trimming apple trees. I usually trim off the smaller lower and or dying limbs.
-
Cool pic. Was mom around??

The news rarely reports it because it doesn't fit the anti gun agenda. The corrupt media picks and chooses what shootings to report on. Home owner uses a gun to defend him/herself against criminals?…Nope. Inner city people getting shot in drive bys every day?…nope. Sick whack job shoots up a gun free zone??? Hell YES!! All Day..
-
LOL!! I watched a friend add "character" to his face on time. I felt bad for him, but I still laughed….

Grat looking pup…Labs are the best!!
