    First deer!

Congrats on #1!! That drag will be worth it.
  2. Planned on going out tonight but its pouring out and windy. Gott'a play it by ear I guess.
  3. The wife said I'd be lucky to get a seat at the grown up table for x-mas dinner. ( for some reason she gets testy around hunting season)....what ever. If I have to sit at the little table, I still get dinner and I totally dominate!!!! Last time , I sat at the kiddie table, I scored a sweet hot wheels car and a pack of sour patch kids candy!..... Win ..Win!! Merry Christmas.
  4. Mine puts them right on top of each other, 3 inches high, a 100 yards ( off of a rest). I've never shot it farther then that. So yes I think they are as accurate as a centerfire rifle But Im sure you wont get the same accuracy of a rifle at longer ranges. 100 to 150 yards is still a hell of a poke.
  5. I had the same problem. I got a deer during bow and when I tried to report it I couldn't get on the sight. Same thing, I tried clicking on the link and it wouldn't go through. I tried a day or two later and it worked. I tried to report another deer a couple weeks ago and the same thing happened.

    Last day

Good luck to all and stay safe..I had a little luck so Im holding off till ML season.....have to go cut down a x-mas tree today to get the wife off my back so I can slide through late ML season....
  11. Right....Im sure a ton of guys just grab the gun on opening morning, hunt a few days with it and then put it right back where it was until next year.
  12. I dont really have a problem with guided hunts. Its these fenced in, hunt over bait hunts that piss me off. Out of all of these people who take bucks on such hunts and have the deer mounted, how many do you think say to people (while showing off the mount).." yeah got him on a fenced in ranch while he , and 8 other bucks were eating at a feeder"?? ....I'll bet dollars to donuts not too many...why is that ???? If you want to pay to hunt one of these places, go for it. I just think that these "professionals" (LOL) that make money endorsing products used to take game at these places are A-Holes. Just me.
  13. Got a bunch...For deer my Winchester 1300, Whitetail model. For birds and small game my Ithaca featherweight. If I had to choose one......the Winchester.
  14. All these shows turn my stomach..It's all about the ca$h. Not only the cost of the hunt but the money some of these "Professional" hunters make off endorsements. There was a Hank Parker show on this past weekend which was really just an infomercial of C'mere Deer. They show these "professionals" spreading this deer attractant out in front of stands on a fenced in ranch. Then the "professionals" walk to the stand, wait as all kinds of deer come to the bait, pass up big bucks and finally shoot a monster. Then they talk about what a tough hunt it was cuz they didn't see the amount of deer they wanter to???? I couldn't even watch the next fenced in baited hunt. These guys/and gals are all knobs, but if anyone would critisize them I imagine they would just look at their bank statements and laugh... What'a ya gonna do????
  15. Glad no one got hurt. I've had a few close calls but no hits, with deer anyway. A while back I was driving behind an old guy. He was in a huge Crown Vic. We were doing about 60 when a doe jumped out and the guy hit it. That deer helicoptered off to the right at least 50 yards and landed deader than a brick. The guy was ok but the entire front of his car was gone. To this day I still can't believe how far that deer flew.
  16. Sweeeet!!!! Great gun and round.I like the wood stocks too.

  18. Damn shame..all the way around
  19. Same here.. During the cold months, and deer season I don't get out at all but off season and warmer weather I'd say twice a month.
  20. Exactly...He comes here to make money, and pursue other opportunities, that he cant get in his own awesome country then lectures on and on about whats wrong with this country, including the constitution???...Pompous, ungreatful douche !! (sorry)

    new ml maker

Gotta stick with my old Knight. It shoots to good to replace it. That thing is a little wierd looking.
  23. Yeah....I mentioned this in other posts but, over the summer I was thinking about trading in a pistol for a different model. My gun was a year old, in perfect condition and cost $700 new. They offered me $280. I laughed and decided to keep it. Another good way to sell a gun is to write up an ad and tack it to the bulletin board of the local gun club(s) Someone is always looking.
