You are all missing the point.....This begs the question: Why do police officers require handguns with high capacity magazines? I see over and over again in the news, people suggesting that assault weapons and high capacity magazines are needed by militiary and police only. I ask....Why do the police require such weapons? Who will they use them against?

Best conceal carry for a women?
Early replied to nybuckboy's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Two characteristics of the Colt Mustang Pocketlite that make it well suited to women: slide is easily racked...single action w/light trigger pull. The LCP and other double action only pistols, with their long, heavy trigger pull are not near as female-friendly. -
I like the .260 Rem....Great deer round ... short action length ... little recoil.

Shot a ton of chucks over the years with the .22 Mag. No experience with the .17, but I would never buy one to replace my .22 Mag.

Persistent cough and chest congestion is nothing to fool with...Best to see a doc. For you guys 60 and over, the pneumonia vaccination is highly recommended. Wishing you that are sick a speedy recovery.

I find the nature of this post disturbing: Who in hell thinks they can propose such a challenge? I would not join a church...would not join a political party...why in hell would I choose to stand with you? Grow up...The world is full of differing opinions; That's a good thing! -
I have an 11-87 SP (walnut) with two barrels (26" vent rib...21 smoothbore slug...both with RemChoke) in near new condition for $600, firm....Pickup in Capital District.

Are you FOR or AGAINST a change?

Volunteer police organization.......Vigilante group, right? The heavily-armed, para-military police of today's America make enough mistakes....no sense adding to them. To reiterate: A change I would like to see: Remove all weapons from the police that are not allowed to the general public. -

Last time I checked there was nothing in the Bill of Rights about motor vehicles. -

I agree with Irish Redneck: Do not ban guns or types of guns/ammo for civilians if the same are OK for the govt. (police) Additionally: No new laws that restrict my ability to defend myself and family. Repeal those (gun-free zones) that do. Obama wants to ban certain guns in America. Why doesn't he want to ban bulldozers in Israel...or land mines in Afghanistan...or war everywhere? If children are worth protecting, ALL children are worth protecting! I am sick of political posturing by our warmonger leaders. -
I own the new model Colt Mustng Pocketlite....functioned flawlessly from day one. Suggestion: Buy SOON...including a good supply of ammo. Things could get difficult shortly.

Just a little venting...

FBI reports will be managed to support the administration's position on gun control. Do NOT accept FBI reports as factual. -
Sheesh....You guys are getting to me with these marinade tales. If I ever get beyond my taste for "bare naked" venison...or get some particularly tough meat, I just may try your approach.

C'mon Buckhunter...fess up: You play the rules to your advantage. You engage in name-calling, character defamation, and just plain sloppy journalism. As a moderator, you have a position to exercise your God complex while slamming whomever you do not like. You obviously get your jollies by "moderating" this site. Well, grow up....You need to do a better job! (Now, if you choose to ban me...You can kiss my ass!)

Second the trailer hitch/hauler idea. I have used one for the past few years. Transports two deer easily; three if total weight stays under 500 lbs. Tractor Supply Store has them on sale regularly.

The Buckhunter does see his opinion as the only one; he is simply not willing to accept the opinion of others when it differs from his. That is detrimental to this site...it impedes the free exchange of ideas and opinions. Too bad....much could be gained from this site if it were managed properly. Thanks for your input.

You are in for a treat!! Cook them the same way you cook expensive lamb loin chops. Do next-to-nothing in the way of seasoning; you do not want to camouflage the delicious venison flavor. (I would pan fry them in real butter...or broil them, after slathering with butter...or grill, basting with melted butter.) Butter and salt...that's all the seasoning you need. Cook nor more done than medium rare. Enjoy!
