  1. Clover plot is roughly a quarter acre and wraps around to the right. Behind the hedge row is a spring fed pond loaded with bass. Kills me to not be able to fish it. Every morning last year that I would fish I would get blown at. Definately been itching for a few casts!!!!
  2. Here are some pics from the clover plot. I still need to mow one last time and spray probably in September, but happy with how it looks. Deer and turkeys definitely seem to like it.
  3. Out of curiosity, how would the height and angle placement change a deer's reaction? What is a good height to set the camera? I could definately make those changes if would help. I just find it funny that I have those same deer visiting that spot just about everyday???
  4. Sounds like you could be part of the show "Mountain Men".
  5. lol... I'll do whatever I can to keep them around!
  6. You think so... Camera was been there for a month and I got close to a thousand pics so they couldn't be that frightened if they keep coming back??
  7. Trail camera was hung by the apple trees which are loaded!!!!!!!!
  8. Great pics... I'd be super excited to be in that stand opening day! Hopefully he will stop by!
  9. Lmao... That must of been some curb!!! I wonder who is going to pay for the assailants hospital bills??
  10. Lol...learned something new. I still would be surprised if any turnips would still be around come gun season in a quarter acre plot.
  11. Definately not too late to plant... Many annuals can be planted now through the end of August. My only concern would be that a small quarter acre plot would make it to rifle season. I have planted brassica and turnips before and they look great for the start of bow and by November 1st they look like someone cut them with a lawnmower. I would consider planting oats or a winter rye. They get planted the end of August and can withstand browsing. Just my opinion.
  12. Is this a guided hunt biz?
  13. I don't care what he weighs... I would love to see him walking around my property in 4f!!!!
  14. Excellent article... Too bad most don't see it that way!
  15. I as well, am not able to identify the native browse. Aside from the easy food sources like apples, acorns, and berries I wouldn't be able to tell if deer preferred it to something else. Definately something I need to learn more about!
  16. I was thinking about buying online this year. However, I wasn't sure about how it works for my "land owning" tag? I registered last year when I bought my tags at Dicks. Does the information stay saved online?
  17. I was actually thinking of posting the same question. Since my corn plot has failed two years in a row I still have three quarter acre plots to plant. I'm thinking about planting brassica and winter peas before the next big rain that we get hopefully within the next two weeks and in the last plot I will plant oats probably around the last week of August. It's always a challenge planting around the weather since I live on the island. What about everyone else?
  18. The pics were probably zoomed in on. Great pics!
  19. Most people don't realize that he was staying by his father's because he was suspended from school by his mother's for fighting. He was involved with drugs and the prosecution was able to withhold pictures of jewelry that he took with cell phone that no one knows how he got. When you act like a thug, you get treated like a thug! This was definately a tragedy for both sides, however, not all tragedies are crimes. Like someone else here already said, there are two ruined lives and hopefully others can learn from this!
