  1. No the trophy fees are only if you want to add trophies on top of the 1 trophy, 2 does and a turkey. Example you shoot 1 whitetail buck, 2 does, 1 turkey=$3095 shoot 1 elk, 1whitetail, 2 does and a turkey= 5595. You have the choice of using blinds( still hunting), spot and stalk, or high rack truck as hunting methods . And the prices are the lowest you'll find in Texas for any hunt that has what this hunt has.
  2. Aoudad are sheep and the fence is too high for hogs to get in ( not very good jumpers) but the sheep hop in.
  3. That pen around the feeder is just to keep the wild hogs out. Are there any exotics in New York free-range or HF?
  4. http://youtu.be/h5ZkYVMk1SQ Here's some video of us hunting these sheep
  5. It's the same member name. And a some of these are new, I couldn't find the old thread and wasn't sure which ones of the old ones I had up.
  6. Well they're free-ranging in the hills of south west Texas all the way to the mountains of far west Texas. We are the only ranch for miles that feeds protien so typically we see anywhere from 50-150 sheep a day. Then again we have days where we only see 1 group of six but that's pretty rare. During breeding season the travel in larger herds and it's not uncommon to see 50+ sheep in 1 group.
  7. Here are a few neat pics of all the random animals that show up at our protien feeders at one of or ranches in Texas. Btw we do not hunt these feeders they are for nutrition only we strictly spot and stalk. I'll post up more pics Monday we've caught sika, axis, Catalinas and even a few elk from time to time. These are aoudad or Barbary sheep btw.
  8. Rabbit in distress and a feather tied to a stick is what we use down here

  15. I love hunting Aoudad soooo much I figured out a way to keep making a living hunting them and I wouldn't change a thing. Aoudad are the only creature I've ever hunted that is still challenging every single time. They def keep you on your toes
  16. Yes it is I was behind the camera sorry the editing was a quick job. We feed protien to supplement the deer and the sheep no hunting is done over feeders(rare in Texas). Since Aoudad are very nomadic and protien feed is the only thing they will touch, we feed year round not only for growth and nutrition but also to convince the sheep they have no reason to leave the ranch. Being nomadic when the find a place with the right terrain, foodplots, protien and water they have no reason to keep moving
  17. None of these are pen raised these sheep have been wild since the 1950'sthe whole 5000 acre ranch is low fences. The pen around the feeder is to keep hogs out. And we don't hunt anything near a feeder it's spot and stalk through the mountains only. Aoudad sheep are the most challenging animal to hunt in Texas by far. Don't let the pics fool you this is a free flowing protien feeder there is quite a few on the ranch to feed deer and sheep to keep them in. This is definantly not pen raised anything these sheep are 100percent free and the most challenging game I've ever hunted in North America.
