  1. In a few days our website is being re-designed to a better format. The flash player format is slow and doesn't allow enough storage.
  2. Agreed however these are in no way shape or form captive, released ect. This is 150 % fair chase. Aoudad are nomadic animals that can jump nearly 8 ft from a stand still. Nothing is guaranteed . This is by far the most challenging hunt in the state of Texas.
  3. Nothing is "fenced in" it's all 100% fair chase
  4. I have no idea what his username is. I never asked but if he would like to be named he may feel free to chime in. Btw 100% success this fall so far on 30"+ rams!!!!
  5. I took my mother's goofy brother on an aoudad hunt years ago and he showed up with some kind of 9mm folding rifle with open sights. I tried to talk him into quiting after 12 failed attempts and chase javelina's then we jumped one on the top of a canyon at 75 yrds. He pumped 6 shots in the sheep and the sheep ran around the mountain and I walked right by him, he stood up and charged at 15 yards and I managed to stop him with my . 45 so in all I would say not a humane gun for large game.
  6. My mistake I dropped all our ads today from $3095-$2895 guess I already gave y'all a deal for $2795 Here are a few pics
  7. We're great at what we do and have some truley great ranches. However Aoudad is more of a once or twice in a lifetime hunt for most. Our new ranches this year have quite a few spots to fill and we try and give you the best bang for your buck. But we still have families to feed so making a deal on hunts and being there for our customers is far more important than proving to a miserable few that we are better by jacking our prices through the roof.
  8. Well guys we've dropped the price of these hunts a bit so if anyone itching to get on a plane and head down to Texas to chase big whitetails and have an action packed hunt taking 4 animals this is the hunt for you. NOW $2895pp
  9. Hey guys, Were holding a DIY aoudad hunt one of our ranches this October for $1495pp if anyones interested
  10. These whitetail hunt take place in Kinney county on 10,000 acres High fence and we also have 10,000 acres low fence but it is strictly Management hunts at this point. The only reason we High fenced the 10,000 acres we will be hunting was because ranches around us started to split up and sell 10-20 acre lots next to us and we had an overwhelming number of people hunting these "yards" right on our fenceline and shooting anything that walked. After we game fenced the property we added a few exotics. This is a working cattle ranch year-round that produces it's own hay in irrigated fields and is intensely managed for proper habitat. This is every bit a fair chase hunt as any other with 10,000 acres most deer never see a fence in their life.
  11. Well none of our Aoudad are high fenced all None of our Aoudad are fenced their all free range. No guarantee as stated before. There are plenty of peopple that charge up to 7k for a trophy free range aoudad hunt on ranches next door to us but I feel like that is way too much and to be able to limit the pressure we have to limit our hunts and space them out as well as have experienced guides that hunt sheep 7-8 months out of the year. Our success rates are high because we have good country and great guides. Sheep hunting is for the most dedicated hunters around, it's a very physical, very demanding, long shooting high country hunt in the most beautiful mountains in Texas. By far the most challenging hunt in Texas! And no special permit is needed just a 5 day non-resident license that runs about $45.
  12. They are on certain counties and since Texas is 92% private land public land mgmt is not a concern and in the part of the state that has AR there aren't any HF places hardly or even hunting properties just a bunch of 10-200 properties. There isn't really much hunting industry in these areas. Just people hunting friends and family's pastures. And certainly no protien anywhere
  13. No problem. I too am aware how expensive hunting is now as a matter of fact I haven't taken a single trophy in many years. I stick to javelina and predators and if I can squeeze it in the budget I'll take the wife on hunt once a year
  14. What an amazing tool! This will sure help out on some DIY hunts!
  15. AR has worked wonders here in Texas the counties that never produced a 160" buck but every 5 years are now producing alot of old deer and a few 170" bucks every year and a handful of 160's regularly
  16. Great buck wish all my 8pt's looked like that!
  17. We Well aoudad are an invasive species that compete with all native species as well as consume protien intended for whitetail. The market for Aoudad lies within sheep hunters. Not everybody can afford 12k for a dall sheep or 150k for a desert bighorn so aoudad allows people to experience sheep hunting without being a millionaire. Aoudad hunting is the most challenging mountain hunt under 10k and mirrors the desert bighorn to a T in fact it takes place in the same country. I'll always throw in a hog or a whitetail doe for meat for free. As far as the whitetail I'm completly sold out of our $98 special.
  18. I still have a few Trophy Whitetail hunts that have been reduced to $2795.
  19. Mike you nailed it on the head I believe
  20. I can see where your coming from but we grew up on ranches and have been in the woods since the we were a few months old even if dad just used a crying baby for a coyote call in the stand, we learned to shoot BB guns at 3 under supervision and were a beer cans worst nightmare. Eventually we were out around the barn shooting birds till we got a pellet gun and a cheap scope and learned to use cross hairs. So by age 5 we could shoot a .222 or a .223 pretty well at 100 yrds . And we were only allowed to use rifles under strict supervision and in the blind we didn't hold the gun till it was time to shoot. So after having that much exposure and practice and having our butts beat if we violated any safety rules we had a pretty good grip on it. It was just something we grew up around everyday and learned early so it's not like we just threw 5 yr olds in the woods with a gun and said have at it. Safety and accuracy always came first.
  21. Yes sir they have to have hunters edu course or be accompanied by an adult but if thier big enough to shoot a bow or a gun thier free to do so.
  22. I think thats a stretch to say he's a non-typical
