Hunting with Dogs is more sporting than hunting behind a fence. Atleast the deer have a chance to get away! Not to mention its very hard work hunting with dogs. Fence hunters are the laziest hunters there are. A spike from stateland is more of a trophy than a 200 inch behemoth from behind a fence. Do what you want, its legal. But dont try to compare yourself to other deer hunters because one you are not.

Holy crap the bears would have a field day if I left mine in the woods. That is if the squirrels didnt eat it first.

Anyone ever see that youtube video of the race car hitting the deer doing like 100mph? That deer went straight up like 30 ft in the air.

There was a guy that was practicing over on state land with what sounded like a pistol for the last 3 days. He would start up about 2:30pm like clock work. If I hunted stateland I would have gone over there and beat his head in.

I usually fill all my tags in muzzleloader season. No more yahoos out crashing around in orange scaring the crap out of the deer.

I shot a big 8 point about 5 yrs back and dragged it right to the car. Well the neighbor saw me out there and came over to see the deer. Well pretty soon the whole damn world was there and I havent been able to beat back the tresspassers ever since. I go out of my way now to get them out without anyone seeing. You shoot a big one better to shut up and not say a word. Or atleast lie about where you shot it. Know anyone you dont like? Tell the world you shot it on their property.

Wow!! Been deer hunting for 28 yrs and have never seen anything that would come close to that. Good to see they are out there.

I use to buy the cheap wolf ammo for my AK before I sold it. Tape a couple of 30 rounders together and see how fast I could dump the mags and change over to the other mag. AK's are a pc of crap but I could put hundreds of round through that thing and it would never jam.

So what about apple trees where the apples have fallen off the tree and are on the ground. Is this now considered baiting?

Shot a beauty of an 8 point with bow this yr right in the shoulder bone. broadhead went in and snapped off. Searched for hours to try and get another arrow in him, but found no blood or even saw him again. Still makes my stomach hurt thinking about it!!

My Brothers friend hit 6 in one fatal swoop one time doin about 60mph in a Ford pickup. He called us and asked if we wanted some deer. The staties had just tagged all of them for him. We got there when the wrecker showed up and the truck looked like he had rolled it. Windows all smashed out, front end was destroyed, dead deer piled up all over the place. I declined on any of the deer, they were a little squishy.

Well it was spring and still a little cold so it wasnt really bad till you got right on top of it. Then yes it was bad. We ran off gagging.

My brothers first deer was a button buck with an arrow that came straight down through the top between the shoulder blades and came out the brisket. I noticed the white fletching coming through the woods before I even saw the deer. Didnt have a clue what it was till we walked up on the deer after it was down.

Wolves, mountain lions, yotes, ect... All predators in general get shot. Im nature to.

Wait till January and your taxes go through the roof. Youll be working overtime for nothin then.

Even though Im no where near a sports fan and can care less about sports. There have been a lot of kids who have gotten a free pass through college because of their sports talent that other wise would not have had a chance in heck of goin to school. Yeah there are a few bone heads who mess it up but the majority are good kids just tryin to get ahead in life. I cant hold it against them that they are talented. So more power to them, and I dont mind spendin afew dollars more to help out.

And the other guy would land on his head.

One of the things I like to do while gun hunting is to bring the walkie along and put it on scan. You can listen to what all the other hunters are shooting at and find out if it was a hit or a miss. I find it amazing that I can hear 4 or 5 shots in a row and listen to them talk about how the deer was 100yrds away and running and they were shooting off hand and they are suprised they miss. 90% of the shooting I heard on the first day that people were talking about were missed deer. 5% were wounded deer where they found blood or couldnt find the deer even after they shot and the deer dropped and got up again and ran off. The final 5 percent were one shot one kill for the most part. Maybe a finishing shot here or there but mostly one shot. So if you want to improve your luck try putting one slug in the gun. You'll find the time to aim real quick when you know you dont have a follow up shot. I think this buck was probably machine gunned at as he was running away and the guy was probably looking at the rack the whole time.

The First Assembly Of God in Binghamton is having a sportsmans dinner on January 12. Key speaker is Charlie Alsheimer. Thats what I was thinking. I think it would be better ( and cheaper ) to just buy one good one ( T/C ) and learn how to use it if your worried about it misfireing. I know T/C 's are expensive but if you put your pennys in a piggy bank you can have one pretty quick. I'm poor as dirt and I still bought a triumph.

I know right!! Dang it, it just pizzes me off I cant help myself. The Libs say their for the little guy and when you try to get ahead pizz all over you. I read somewhere ( trying to find it again ) where a builders union was going around to work sites and threatening to sue the government if the workers weren't union. They said they didnt want the government using low paid workers for work. Wait a minute isnt that their base? They should be bending over backwards to help them. And the poor keep voting them in to office what a bunch of maroooons!!!!
