Hunter Re- Direction ( AKA the black art of hunter deception )

Make sure you call the DEC.

If a speed breech is seizing up you have a serious problem. Mine never even has powder residue on the threads. The locking rings should prevent this and the extra deep threads should prevent lockup. Might want to check the rings, they might be bent. With that said I always still grease the breech plug just because I have grease and it cant hurt. I use 150 grain 777 pellets and 240 grain XTP's and can shoot clover leafs all day long at 100 yrds off a bench. But I swab in between every shot. Also might want to check your primers maybe they dont burn hot enough.

No they dont work, leave them home!! And if you want you can send them to me.

I think it would be easier to just dig a pit, fill it with pungy stakes, cover, place apples on top and when deer go to eat the apples they impale themselves after falling in said pit. All you have to do is just check ever so often. Just dont forget where you put them. Cong style!!

Hunter Re- Direction ( AKA the black art of hunter deception )

It works great!! I have kept hunters in areas for weeks doing this. If you want one side of a property all to yourself just go to the otherside and make a bunch of sign. If they stray to another area, they dont see the great sign and return to the deception rubs and hunt. -
Thats great!!! Im making 5 of them in the morning.

So does anyone else dable in the black art of hunter deception? I particulary like to use the giant rub and scrape technique to redirect other hunters to area's where the prevaling wind will drive the deer to me if the hunters try to access the area. This works like a charm every time especially if you sneek in at dusk and re freshen it. I have an old taxidermied deer hoof from a gun rack that ads a little realism to the package. Anyone else use some dirty tricks to your advantage. ( PS I dont do this during bow season as big rubs tend to attract big deer during the rut defeating the purpous . )

Not judging just having a little fun. I have absolutley no problem with anyone shooting anything they want within the confines of the law.
-
They are also blind as a bat. If you are quiet you can sneek right up on them. Had many a dilo walk right by me within ft while hunting on the ground in Alabama.

Crap if thats the case I better not shoot at another deer in the woods incase my bullet go's past some posted signs. Wouldnt want to get in trouble for involuntary tresspassing.

Because we have to crockpot or sausage the big boys to get them tender and to taste good and even then they are a little gamie. The last 4 yrs Ive killed a nice 3.5 during gun and they have all been tough as nails. She says I cant kill another one just the doe and preferably fawns since they are so tender.

Thanks Zemmer, It was one of the most frustrating bow hunting seasons ever. Well maybe not ever, but I had high expectations and im a little dissapointed in myself. Hope gun is a lot better. Got the triumph and the remi 750 sighted in the other day shooting clover leafs at 100 yrds 2 inches high so well see if mr big bucky sticks his head out. I have till the 26 th of November off and a couple of big racks running around so I hope to down one quick. Unfortunatelly a couple of other people know about them to so I have some home work to do before Saturday.

Ive killed 5 or 6 with a 89 toyota corrolla. They make a heck of a lot of noise when you roll over one.

If it didnt hit an artery or penetrate the chest cavity you are SOL. Did the same thing about 23 yrs ago. Deer was out of there in a flash. No blood was found either.

Back in my teen yrs we had a bobwhite quail that just showed up one day and took to our chickens. He reminded me of the baby chicken hawk on looney tunes. He was tiny but he would chase the roosters off and show off for the hens. He was there all summer and then he just dissapeared. I think a hawk ate him. Then about 6 yrs ago I was mowing my lawn and turned around and there was a pheasant behind me following me around eating bugs in the cut grass. Evertime I would fire up the lawn mower he would come running out of the woods and eat bugs, it was pretty cool. Also there was a story on the news about a yr ago about a guy who had a Grouse that liked his 4 wheeler. Everytime he fired it up the grouse would fly out of the woods and hang out with the family. http://www.wbng.com/younews/84140287.html

My lil mans first tree stand sit
erussell replied to tughillhunter's topic in Hunting Related Pictures
I took my Daughter out last yr for one hunt. We never saw any deer but she couldnt beleive how birds and squills just walked right up to us. It was a good time. -
Ive never had a problem with this with my T/C Triumph. I leave the powder and bullet in the gun and throw it back in the gun cabinet after every hunt. Only time I ever push the load out of the gun is if I have been hunting all day in a heavy rain or snow. And I still have never noticed the powder ever being wet or even damp.

Any pc of cloth you can find soaked in Doe in heat urine. Tie to a pc of string and drag it to your stand to make a trail of scent that bucks will be more than happy to follow. Key is dragging in a big circle where you start so if the buck heads on the trail in the wrong direction he will circle back to you.

Its legal in NY to kill a button so who gives a crap. I have killed a bunch of them and have seen a bunch of them killed by hunters and cars and guess what i still see a ton of bucks every yr. If my wife had her way I wouldnt be allowed to shoot big bucks anymore just the fawns.

I like to go shoot the 12 gauge off the back porch a few times when I see the Neighbor from NY city drive onto his land. He doesnt see the humor in it, but it makes me chuckle!
-
I dont see why anyone would get up before dawn to shoot a 4 point.

Wink wink****
