    I have 17 turks coming to the bird feeder every few days, (had 21 coming before season) And I didn't hunt them at all. The flock has 3 toms with 6-8" beards (strutting 2 days ago), 3 bearded hens, 1 adult hen & the rest are hens. But I 'm not telling anyone!(dec.) lol

    Johnson's country store in Lockport had the CVA Wolf w/camo stock & Quick release breech plug for $180 the week before X-mas. Don't know if they still do..

    That sausage looks much better than the stuff we made, ours was bad! I guess we need a lot more practice! We did some Bodine Which turned out ok, but our regular (polish) was flat tasting (not enough seasonings I guess). I'll take 5# please!

    Did a lot of rabbit hunting in my younger days also. We had 3 of our own beagles & sometimes had 5 running at once when friends brought their dogs along, had rabbits running everywhere, lots of rabbits & fun! My personal best season was 57 bunnies. Sure do miss that fun & could listen to those dogs all day long.

    Congrats Stubby68, Greatest X-mas gift! I got gift cards from Dicks, & Cabelas. Also new light wt. (16#) climbing tree stand, camo insulated rubber boots, X-bow & a few other goodies.

    Go with laminated posts. the solid 4x4's & 6x6's will tend to twist after a while. My buddy just put a pole barn up this past summer & nailed & screwed all the 2x6's together him self. My barn has the laminated posts for the last 8yrs. with no problem. Also at least insulate the roof or it will sweat & a ridge vent helps. just my 2cents.

    Par boil in water with onion then pan fry in butter until browned nice like chicken, de lish! Go to u-tube look at squirrel skinning video some make it look pretty easy.

    One of the biggest bucks ( nice wide 10 pt.) I've ever seen was just over the fence when I was getting off at the Jamison rd. exit & just 70 yds. from Jamison rd..

    slice it , dip in milk, put in salt, pepper, flour mix & fry with onions until brown,& tender & enjoy along with raw fried potatoes & veggies! Having one tonight! I also want to try pickling one, any ideas or suggestions ?

    All this Ferguson crap sickens me! When the white Rochester, NY cop was shot & killed by a black man for no reason & he left behind a wife & kids there was not one riot. Just a sad, peaceful funeral & pictures of a crying wife & kids along with thousands of cops there to honor him! Now the guy is dead & buried & most likely forgotten by most of us, its disgusting BS! I feel the Ferguson cop was doing his job & protecting himself. jmo.

    I hate glasses! Mine always fog up from me over heating & sweating in cold temps. Also when it's raining or snowing they get messed up. I have tried all the anti- fog crap & they don't work. Have a dry cloth with you & keep wiping! I wear mine on a string around my neck incase I need to drop them down/off to see my sights to take a shot.

    Same here couldn't get a deer within 40yds. during bow. The other day ( before all the dam snow) I had 3 small bucks all within 15 yrds. a spike , 4pt. & a 6 pt.. The 4 & 6 pt. were sparing. cool to see up close. Now with all the snow won't be able to get to cabin or even walk in the woods! 65 yrs. old & 4 ft. of snow don't go together well/safe!
