The glaze is honey , real maple syrup , worstechire, Apple cider vinegar , brown sugar, bourban , butter , and a squeeze of an orange .... Pound the breast out flat , layer ham n cheese(I prefer provolone or pepper jack, n Black Forest ham) , arugula , roll up, secure with twine , sear each side (approximately 3 minutes a side) and put in 375 dg oven until internal temp is 160.... Take it out though at 150 internal temp cause carry over heat while it rests for 5-10 min will bring it up to 160.... Baste occasionally with glaze while in oven .... After 16 yrs I finally decided to commit to stricken one with the bow.... Just a jake but couldn't pass em up after the two gobblers skirted me and strutted out of sight .... Had hens fly down cackle, cuttin, jakes yelpin , the whole nine, so I was more than happy to take this jake with the bow to cap off an awesome spring morning ... Dang go pro card was full , my arms just aren't long enough for the selfie! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm happy to others success but hell, this is a NY hunting forum is it not!? What the hell is a guy from Tennessee posting here unless he's traveling, but I doubt it since he's commenting on 3 birds ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would do April 15 - May 15 till noon ... Would be a much more exciting "typical" turkey hunting ... Miss hunting those osceolas cause we got to hunt them just as things were getting fired up. Even though they typically don't gobble as much as easterns , I've heard way less gobbling throughout the season here especially when they hit the ground! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can we make it Dunkin Donuts? Not a fan of Tim Hortons coffee lol... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Normally I would agree with that logic but it's been said over n over in years past and I haven't noticed any considerable pick up in activity towards the ladder half of the season.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Gobbling lull?? Haha... Simply the season opens too dam late here n there already winding down n have started not giving two s$&;'s about an excited hen early in the morning... Only gonna get worse... Really season should open the 3rd wk of April, kinda like expecting rut activity at the end of November... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

unfortunately my hot spot has been the same for the past three mornings. I still think a May 1st opener is too late, birds are already winding down from the get go.... I think the 3rd or 4th week of April would be an appropriate opener to get some of the best turkey hunting in.. can't stand sitting in the woods multiple days without one gobble....
