11/23...sat both morning and evening. Still havent seen a live deer during gun season. Buddy hunted our spot 11/24 am. No tracks in our core area. Tons of tracks down in the swamp area though. Wondering if thats because of all the high wind we have had.

Theres a nice buck i missed during archery that showed up again two nights in a row last week. Hasnt been seen since. But ive got a feeling he likes this junk weather because those are the only times anyone has seen him. Gonna try the edge of the cat tails tonite. Fingers crossed

No snow here yet. Supposedly its on the way. Sat this morning and saw zero. Heck i havent seen a live deer in the woods since bowseason lol. Back out this evening to give it a whirl!

Well bolts are in, recoil pad on. Now trying to find a breech plug locally. Tried the pb blaster...did ok. Need to hit it again with the brush and some pb and i think itll be ready to shoot!

Same here. Nearest corn field is about 2-3 miles away. Funny but still got some apples they are chewing on too

They did dry out. Then i discovered a new crack on the other boot haha! Theyll last this season then im looking at some new underarmour insulated boots

Grabbed some bolts for the stock after calling cva for specs. Going to try some pb blaster or brakleen first see how that goes. I work in a parts store so i have a ton of different items at my disposal. It had triple 7 used in it before and thats what i plan to use once its finished.

I always used anti seize on the plug. This one was used for parts apparently lol. Shouldnt take much to fix it up though!

Yeah i was gonna try some barrel blaster foam but guys keep telling me to save money and do the hotwater and dish soap deal. Maybe ill try it and see how it goes.

Got a cva kodiak magnum in need of some tlc. Gotta buy a breech plug, clean it real good, find some sights or a scope, find a recoil pad, and bolts to mount stock to gun. For the bolts im gonna take it to work with me and get some stainless bolts. As far as cleaning, somekne said to use dawn dishsoap? The barrel does have some rust spots on the outside, but not major. Just some light rust and pitting. I may clean it up and paint it or who knows. Whats the best way to clean the inside of the barrel? Does dawn actually work?
