Hit the grunt call and keep going. Seems to be the general consensus. Heck if they blow at me while im hunting i still grunt and sit there. Had it happen the other night, got blown at and she took off. 10 minutes later another deer came from the same area same trail lol

Oct 8. Went for an evening hunt tonite. Got down to my spot and this spot has nyseg power lines running thru it. Noticed a huge work truck at the end of the driveway. Figured i would come back around 5 and see what the deal was. Well when i returned the truck was gone. They mowed the grass and cat tails down the powerline laneway. Good and bad for deer hunting. I sat til dark but figured i wouldnt see anything. All i saw was birds and squirrels. Lots of apples down off the trees now as well as leaves. Shaping up to be a good week!

I just pulled down into my spot....to see a huge worktruck blocking the driveway....oh boy. So im gonna wait an see if it leaves. There is nyseg power lines so maybe they are working on those. Not sure if i stick around or go home

I got my small/big game, archery and muzzleloader. I got a reg season buck tag, bow/mz either sex, and bow/mz antlerless.

Yes. Unless you have dmp's then you can use those

Youll get an antlerless bow/mz, and an either sex tag bow/mz.

Correct. If you fill your either or tag with a buck, latr muzzleloader you can take a doe if you still have a tag.

After reading alot of scary posts about falling or almost falling....im gonna pull my head out of my butt and start using one. I have a gorilla harness but no instructions. Ive got the general idea of where my legs and arms go...but as i sit here with it on...im lost as to where other parts go and how to hook up. Any tips?

Deer as i see it are somewhat creatures of habit. Well worn trails are an obvious sign. Areas where trails intersect and are filled with tracks are obviously a good place to setup. Big thing is figuring out when they are using said trails. Trailcams can help if your into that. But as grow stated boots to ground is a very good way to learn. Alot of people hunt only mornings or evenings, because notoriously thats when deer move the most. But dont underestimate the value of a mid day 10-2 hunt.
