Yup, never had a problem swimming them through Erie County waters either. We've used the crick to rinse our gutted carcasses for 30+ years now.

Coyotes aren't considered big game.

Some folks like to feed the deer whether it's legal or not....... some folks like to drive 120mph even though the limit is 65. They're not gonna stop selling fast cars anytime soon either.

Most dead deer I find post season(usually 20-30), the blood trail has been washed away for weeks if not months..... it does give ya a little advantage simply knowing the kind of terrain and places mortaly wounded deer like to hunker down and die in when a blood trail runs out. I'm not a very good "tracker" but I'm pretty good at finding lost things hiding on the forest floor!

Nice shot! Who says a Wildgame can't have a cuddeback moment! I wonder if there wasn't another deer before that one that triggered it and you caught the 2'nd one. Then again, you may deserve all the credit for excellence in cam placement!

I picked up one of these Extinguishers late last year. It's a pretty nice call. You set the pitch wherever you want it. It covers fawns, does, and bucks with a wide tonal range for each with only the slide of your thumb. I used it a few times over winter and haven't had it freeze up on me yet..... I'm actually hoping it does so I can see if it frees itself up as easily as it says it's supposed to. http://www.illusionsystems.com/shop/extinguisher-deer-call/

Thanx guys! Ol' Frankentines and company have made like a bunch of ghosts and dissapeared. I'm thinking my best chance may come closer to Halloween with these ghouls. Gonna spend a couple days chasing a few "monsters" on another property now. I'll keep the camera handy for any non-believers in the super-natural!

Took the camera along on yesterdays hunt and got a few shots of my target buck. Plenty of trail cam shots of him throughout the summer to go along with his mount if he ever gives me a crack at him.
-
Well congrats, but I would think such an accomplished archer might find a bit more satisfaction in a hunt well done over just another target.
-
Lol- ya know, on second thought...everyone deserves a second chance!

Nice catch Lawdwaz- I took a ride on that locomotive a few years back with my now ex wife. We did the murder mystery ride which was pretty darn cool and included dinner. Then it was off to Pumpkinville and the haunted house and hayride in Sardinia. I think at one point, going downhill with a strong tailwind, that ole choo-choo topped out right around 3mph,lol! Still a good time if ya get the chance.

Dang man, that's some story. If the ol' lady ever finds out you got those scratches on your chest from the titty bar, you'll be jumping out of your stand on purpose, lol Glad you escaped with only a bruised ego. Scary stuff!

Awesome trophies!(sheds) Them dead animals aint bad either! Congrats!

Grow up boy...if your girlfriends pie is waving at you, you'll need to stand in line and take a # till it's your turn.

Usually just use my arm sleeve. I do get the watery eyes too when it's really cold. I think that's sinus related. Sometimes my nose gets too runny and some boogies drop in my lunch bag. One time I thought I was chewing on some trail mix raisins but it 'snot, lol

I'm not an advocate of AR's but I'll agree with this statement. On the other hand, I've killed plenty of spikers and crotch horns to stretch my smile a mile wide! ...but as a shed hunter I gotta say there's a lot more 1 1/2 yo's that make it through every season than some of you pro-AR guys will ever admit or perhaps ever even know about for that matter. I'm good with no restrictions..... I'll take anything either side of this debate leaves behind once season closes.

I wonder what he did with the goldfish from that aquarium....
-
LMBO- I think it's time to shave! ...maybe they were just looking for some place safe to store their nuts for winter.
-
Yep..., text code for "cull" buck, lol. He's a nice one!

My Primos "Truth cam" has been chewing through batteries lately even though it's been registering very few pics. I was suspisious when it started flashing "low batts" the day after I replaced them with some freshies and returned the next day to find them drained again. I decided to pop the hood and have a look inside to see if I could get to the heart of the matter. To my surprise, I couldn't even locate the camera in there, lol. The problem turned out to be the spring tension on the negative battery terminal wasn't holding them together tight.....or at least that's what I hope it was. 365 pics of a coon family last night at the cornfield and battery life is still at 99% even using all 60LED's. Man, I felt like a blonde whos car just broke down when I opened this baby up! Next operation on schedule is a heart transplant from a Wildgame IR4 to a IR5!

Make the effort to hang it 15 ft up the crotch of a tree so anyone that finds it has confirmation of a NY mountain lion in the area to share next time they see ya!

That's the kinda buck that makes the taxidermist smile even before you pay him! Hope you nail that dude!
-
Glad it wasn't a swarm of killer bees Ed..... we'd be having this conversation about you, without you! I try to stomp on every bee that gives me the oppertunity in retaliation for all the ones that zapped me and got away with it.

Amazing buck Cabin Fever! Living up a tree should be easy for ya this year! Good luck with him man!
