  1. Average foot speed is 4mph...you gotta be closing in on 200mi by now,lol Keep going bud!
  2. Awesome find WNYB! That's the kinda horn we hike our nuts off for! Good luck matching him up!
  3. Thanks guys! This week has not been much fun for me. Lots of personal crap going on. What better to do then get out for another hike and say screw it all! Went looking for the mate to the fatty 4pt today. No luck with that. At the green field I had 4 bucks come out at 1:30pm...3 still wearing 2 horns and one baldy. The antlered bucks were impressive and demand a return trip. Guess who left the camera at home.... ? Anyhow, nothing around the fields but on my way home I cruized through another old orchard and found a couple more oldies. Thank you daylight savings time..scooped this set up in the last hour! A good ending to a bad day! My 6'th set and horn #22 & #23.
  4. Very cool to have a celebrity angler in the family Joe! I'm guessing NYO News sales spiked this month in your home! Congrats to Nathan and his guide!
  5. Good start WNYB! Love the freshness in the group photo! Nice bunch of horns there.
  6. That's odd....all my experience with law enforcement they've always just called me Matt, lol!
  7. Congrats- looks like another good one! Got any pics of it out of the grass? Hard to tell what ya got there from that angle.
  8. I'll probably grab a 6pk of worms and a dozen canadien cold ones and hit the crick, lol Not much for the crowds either but the change of scenery is nice and trout opener marks the official end of winter!
  9. That works out to be about $1/inch at the trout pond if they're biting.....you'd do better to get yourself a fish sammich at BK!
  10. Last month was a real dissapointment for antlers for me. I picked this area over pretty good so I've been itching to get into some new territory. Today was that day! Not long into my hike I spotted this little blaze orange beauty, lol. Looked like it was dragged out from somewhere and is actually laying in the tire tracks of where a quad had matted down the grass. It aint the prettiest horn in town but I'll take it. From there I headed uphill to a big green field. I never have any luck in these spots so I wasn't expecting much. Well what do ya know.....20ft of the edge layed a fresh fatty 4pt with a busted G2. Definately one of my better field finds. I need to get back and poke around inside the woodline a bit soon. ...end of the day take home, #20 & #21!
  11. Congrats...now you can tell me all your shed hunting spots you wont be able to get to! I'll be happy to keep an eye on things for ya!
  12. Man that's a nice oldie you got there! Those turkey legs are a cool find too. Looking forward to some freshies from ya soon!
  13. It will be a tough year for polar bear and penguin hunters no doubt!
  14. Robin Hoods were so much prettier in the aluminum days the way they mushroomed and had such a snug fit... now that their made of gold, a lot of that beauty has been lost.
  15. sounds like a great idea for anyone that's ever gotten a Chia Pet as a gift, lol!
  16. Good job getting the job!
  17. Thanks again guys! I like shooting the little ordinary everyday things we pass by daily and never give a second look. Kinda forces me to slow down and look at things a bit differently....of course that doesn't always translate into a masterpiece, but it's nice to recognize some of natures subtle beauties that often get overlooked. Nikon D-3000 Hmmm.... maybe! Any berries I'm not farmiliar with I usually just refer to as dingleberries, lol. My wild vegitation identification skills aren't all that hot....still learning my birds!
  18. Thanks, that would be a 'cedar waxwing'.
  19. Thanks guys! Lol, somedays I need to remind myself of that!
  20. ...I stop to snap a few pics of everything else.
  21. I've been out darn near every day since my last find but haven't come across anything but a few more dead deer. It's getting pretty frustrating. Still got 4 or 5 other spots I haven't been to yet. I'll check a few out this week once the rain melts off the last of our snow. For now I'm just going back through some areas I've already combed over pretty good looking for any stragglers. Nice finds BTW erussel.....I wish they all dropped in sets like that!
  22. Dang, I was DYING to go look for those antlers too! Maybe next year, lol
  23. Great find! A nice reward for your efforts! Maybe his daddy roams the same woodlot! Good luck.
  24. I don't think you can go wrong with the Capture. That's a real nice/simple/reliable/quality cam that takes great shots. My only gripe about it was it didn't have a burst mode! I've also heard the mixed opinions on the Attack but no personal experience with them. Here's one more I'll throw in the mix for ya Doc. Wildgame Innovations D-8. I haven't stayed up to date with their latest cams so they may have new similar models available. White flash for your critter shots and if you want to go stealthy on deer switch it over to IR. I ran this cam last year and was really pleased with it in both modes....but once again, no burst. Check them out on Walmarts site. They had them for $125 and free shipping but for some reason I can't get there page to open today. Here's a quick link I grabbed for ya. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?rlz=1T4RNTM_enUS355US403&q=wildgame+innovations+d-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=13988403408141889366&sa=X&ei=B3hNT9itCYft0gG4jZm-Ag&ved=0CFYQ8wIwAg#
