Advice - Hunting from tree stand vs on the ground?

i do both but mostly ground hunt with the gun. -
why not just limb the tree up? then climb it

im in the same boat to grow! i have a family that can really use it as well and im trying hard to punch a tag for them. My wife and i already filled their fridge for them and helped them out and id love to share the harvest with a family that would put it to good use. Just sucks, the one year i really want to punch a dmp and i couldnt even buy a deer right now. by far my most troubling season to date. keep positive tho! it can go from a horrible season to dragging one out in 30 seconds so stay positive and saddle up!

these are exactly my thoughts. Most of the time i just love being in my stand. ill tell you tho, id like to push a button that would make a slammer walk by my stand lol

Lol I hear ya... very tough season for me so far. Just moved upstate, hunting new ground I never hunted before in an AG district. Another new for me. It's a learning curve and it's what I love about this sport. It can happen anytime but boy is sitting everyday and not even seeing a deer disappointing.

I'm feeling ya!! Trying to stay positive here but damn is it getting hard. Last few sits and zero deer. I keep telling myself 5 more min will change the season but it comes and goes lol. Ahhhh fml

Just starting to see some scrape activity and a few new rubs. No chasing, no seeking by me. I'm actually seeing nothing really. We have had cold days but still have a lot.of standing corn. Not sure how it plays a roll but maybe they're holding up in it 8w
