Good luck! I'll be headed out shortly.. put together a plan, it took a lot to decide to stay out in the Am to avoid blowing any deer off the plots on opening. I have been getting great evening movement as well so we shall see! Shoot straight -
150 for sure beautiful buck

To Let The Woods Rest Or To Not Let The Woods Rest

could have also put a contingency in the contract to gain hunting access. If the seller wanted to sell enough they would have negotiated said contingency. -

To Let The Woods Rest Or To Not Let The Woods Rest
Geno C replied to DirtTime's topic in Bow Hunting
I never go walking the property.. my inventory is set, I know what's there and no need to go in leaving scent and blowing em out. They only get educated, no reason to risk it days before the season starts. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk -

::Edited title:: police shooting
Geno C replied to Uptown Redneck's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I edited your title, you can have your opinion, watch the language you post. Thanks There isn't enough evidence in the video to support a cop deliberately shooting an unarmed man. It's easy to jump to conclusions behind a computer screen, but not put yourself in the shoes of an officer who deserves to go home to his family as well... Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk -
Never hunted there, but there is definitely some nice deer over that way. I've hunted land close by Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I just have that mentality where you try hunting him hard as often as you can and you shoot yourself in the foot. I've seen a lot of guys give that advise and pay no attention to hunting a different stand, play the wind or even try to put the months of field data into a solid set plan. The more your in the woods,the more you're going to tip that buck off. Remember, you're in his house, not the other way around no matter how much you'd like to think you are. Sometimes on these bigger buck, we have a smaller window to connect and see that deer moving in day light hours, they move somewhere but you have to be in the right place, at the right time. You can watch a deer all summer, once that velvet comes off, they're different animals. Patterns will change, hours of movement and right now these bucks are hashing out that pecking order. They're not the same deer we've watched for the last 2 months. There are many variables to make things change right now. I think a great sign here is, if you're still seeing this buck, now, that's a great indication he is living somewhere around there. That info alone is key. Pretty crap feeling going in after a deer who's dispersed. I wouldn't turn the pressure up on him hard, that's just me, especially if the skill set is less then stellar in comparison to some other members who have had great luck doing so. Always remember, these deer don't get big on accident, often. And sometimes the most obvious spots, are the most over looked and tend to have less human intrusion. transmission time is whats to be expected, roughly from the time the pic is taken to the time it starts the sending process and sends to the phone is about 2 minutes or so. in all honesty, thats pretty good considering. I actually get many pics in a 10 min period from my food plots. I have mine setup with the premium package on Spartan, its 4 bucks and you can buy the credits for it, So i bought 3 credits at 12 bucks. That allows me to use their gowireless App and instead of sending texts to my phone it sends it to the app, which is on my phone and also laptop or other devices. You can get i in verizon I believe , Phade can better answer that. I have a AT&T cam. Works great and I have full service where my verizon cell barley has a bar in the cam location. Id say on average I get around 30 to 40 pics in a day. Depends on deer movement.... For the 3 month plan was like 20 bucks and another 12 for the premium setup. that will last all season... you can have it setup to email pics or text them but the app is so much better and easier. you can view battery life, signal and change setting on the cam from your phone through the app.

he has been very helpful with getting used to this camera. personally, I only buy bushnell cams. I must say, I am extremely pleased with this Spartan Phade sold me. Absolutely love it....

I just wanted to make a thread here regarding Phade and the cams from Spartan he sells. They're great cams and Phade was extremely good to deal with in the transaction and along with the support he showed after purchasing the cam! I will absolutely buy more cams from him... The Spartan SMS Cam will change the way I hunt and in the last month or more has proven to be an amazing tool for me. The gowireless app is easy to use and when those pics start coming in, Im like a kid in candy store! I have a really nice 140 incher im after and this cam keeps me out of the woods and up to date from home. Its a great tool for anyone looking for that extra edge and up to date field data. Phade, thanks you for the help and support on this purchase and I will be buying another cam very soon. Geno~

first pic looks like hes at least a 3.5... there could be a small chance hes 4.5, but that's anyone's guess. If the time stamp is correct, hes a pretty solid 3.5 for the time of year. I was down there 2 weeks ago and I still had chasing in one of my LI spots. 2nd pic looks 2.5 but you really cant see much of his body. Depending on when that second deer was shot, he could be run down from rutting activities..
