Semi Auto Pistol Sales Are Done?
pewlodar replied to Lawdwaz's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Ruger LC9 has a 7 round magazine from what I understand -
Read the first 50 lines...if you don't think they WILL take guns away you are wrong. In the first 50 lines, you are required to surrender all firearms if there is a TEMPORARY restraining order nd you will be ineligible to get them back. Can someone tell how hard is it to have a temporary order issued?

50906 I am in...should have a bunch more once my friends ready their mail. -
Also an overreaction is what they are proposing in Illinois for gun control.

No forms for inheritance in NYS. If you can legally own the guns, they are yours. I had to bring my father's guns from NJ to NY. Inquired with several police departments and those that answered said NYS has no long gun registry so I could just go get them and bring them back. I just needed to be legally able to get them in NJ.

Hunting and Fishing Around Rochester
pewlodar replied to New York Hillbilly's topic in General Chit Chat
Although I haven't checked real estate lately, I think you would hard press to find a parcel like that in Webster. If you bow hunt, Webster does offer the opportunity for resident to hunt the Town parks. It is a well run program affording you the chance to hunt close to home. Just need an open mind and not worry about people hiking, biking right past you while hunting. Second what others said about accessing land in general around the greater Rochester area. There are numerous public land available to hunt, just need to drive 45 min or more to get there. -
I second adding water to the mix...about 1/3 cup water per lb of meat. I use ice cold water as it keeps the meat cold, making it easier to work. I also like some breadcrumbs in the mix at about the ratio as the water.

How come I can never locate my tin hat before reading these threads. -
Guessing she will see more time then he did the first time. Reading the arrest document seems pretty clear what happened. Of course everyone gets there day in court

What 132 8pt said. Bad reporting by yahoo, or at least not the entire story.

I've been coughing since early November, really put a damper on the end of bow and gun season. Feel fine otherwise, but go out in the cold and exert some effort and interesting things get cough up.

Sounds like some of you got some solid gifts, ie bows, guns, powder: I didn't get the gun or bow I wanted, just some new hunting socks. I did buy my daughter a new sled which we get to test out this afternoon. Claims it was the best Christmas ever. That's all I needed.

Understand the passion, the language isn't necessary.

Smoke was going over my house. Couldn't id the shooter so couldn't declare area safe to enter to fight the fire. So far 3 home have burned to the ground. Very sad event on Christmas Eve. Worse yet this seems to happen a lot in our town, not the shooting but burning ones house down to harm others.

I agree, had a good season but definitely could have prepared and executed better this past season. Have some good plans and goals for next year.

Not only would people line up, you could probably charge a registration fee and the program would pay for itself and the deer would be gone. Always wondered what they do with the meat in a bait and shoot program. My Town opens the town land to bow hunt only. I think there is about 350 acres of park and they took 26 deer this year. I enjoy participating in the bow hunt. Allows me to hunt close to home.

President Obama
pewlodar replied to Guns&ReligionCop's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
For the record here is a transcript of the President's speech from the prayer vigil held 12/16/12. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mobileweb/2012/12/16/obama-newtown-speech_n_2313295.html. -

Typical I carry in- carry out with my climber or hang on. Occasionally if it is late in the day and I know I am returning he next morning I will leave the hang on up. I don't bother others stands but certainly have no problem hunting next to them, especially if they are not occupied. There was a permanent stand I climb into once just to get a look around a new area I was hunting, was up there about 5 minutes mid afternoon and took a nice 8 pointer. Thought about leaving a note saying thanks for not being in their stand but opted not too.

Funny, did seem to have a problem getting topics in the bow or deer hunting topics wrong? Hopefully that comment doesn't get me labeled as a mod apologist.
