  1. September. There was some commentary on this last year releaSed from the Dec on how it is a misconception such a season would alter deer behavior in archery. Coming to the conclusion anything from albany is crap fueled by someone's personal agenda Sorry it was North American whitetail not deer and deer hunting
  2. Did anyone catch the state of the whitetail article with Jeremy Hurst's last line stating "and possibly a new antler less muzzleloader season". Here it comes- Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. If it was hotter water holes would be the ideal pick- but then again someone may call that baiting on this site Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. They move the same way in similar weather whether it is hunting season or not... So if you were pairing variables scouting this week Wednesday should be a good am Missed my target buck on openers in 12 and my notes showed 75 where I was Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Baiting for deer

Wow-this forum never ceases to amaze me with big fish in a mud puddle syndrome. I happen to be an upstate country boy and let me set it straight- work feeds more family's that hunting let alone bait pile bozos. Skill gives more bounty than luck. After reading the above post even if you were spot on with citidiot assessment you look like a far bigger fool with regard to you ability, participation and respect for hunting. 6. So many good hunters don't share their successes or belong to clubs or contests Thanks for the pic J Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Baiting for deer

Yet another stellar example of someone managing to manage deer yet against deer management and an organization with those words in it. People who bait lack the skills or drive to hunt. Quality hunter management association says they should be culled from the sport Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. There is one that is around 162 if memory serves me correct that was taken in Livingston co. Words cannot describe. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Baiting for deer

Baiting is for the lazy. That being said- I would have minerals all over and corn for sheds and post season pic collection. I would not hunt over it nor do I think that it is needed. I also believe there are many of folks baiting already. If you disagree just go to random retailer- note quantities of bait for sale and leaving the store. Note trail cam pics. I haven't had a civil discussion with any pro gaiters who weren't playing already. Actually anyone who tries to label food plots baiting probably has more than 3 piles per hunting property Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. They cannot cover your tracks in- then again I have friends in and out of the industry that swear by them Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. For me the only aspect that takes longer is packing up the sticks and stand post hunt. I am particular in how they are located as to allow for ease the next use. There is no comparison in the versatility of the lw setup to climbers, let alone the no noise, self leveling and pack ability characteristics. Not trying to be a fan boy (someone will quote this) but these are the best stands made overall. Then again if you don't understand proper scouting and the factors in hanging a set for a particular deer it may make more sense to have your tree stand design be cheaper short term or dictate which trees you can use. 19. Describe the area you found it or on an aerial please
  20. Red funny you said that- biggest I've seen in ny was the other side of the 90 from Frey just behind admarmm
  21. Golf course in nt, brush off transit, railyard walden & Harlem ......just goes to show that most hunters are greedy and age is why rack sizes I'm hunting ny are what they are
  22. Motivated folks plant and scout. Criminals (who are probably slobs) spread bags. Laziness does not require merit- youre whining to justify.
  23. I went yesterday. First off- its the best outdoors store we have around here. Not lightspeed ahead of gander and perhaps a touch behind Bass Pro (and I am not a bass pro guy). It was the lamest of the cabelas ive seen though(having been to CT, PA, Vi, Mi). Really a setback form what I was used to and hoping for. Prices were high and the selection low. I asked 5 different people for gunpowder and i might as well asked for the secret to cold fusion. Gun selection was good but not as anticipated (again). Was blown away by the crowd especially for a select invite amount. That place was stuffed with people. Many were sightsee-ers. 22s were the big thing- after that it was all over the board. This is not to stir the pot- but I saw at least a dozen crossbows leave in the first hour. Anyone who says they wont be a big part of deer season is off base IMO. Maybe one compound left in that time. Maybe the new Victor super BPS will be the answer. DOubt F&S is, think Gander is dying but not sure it will hit the small town shops as bad as they fear as the drive to the big city doesnt offer a ton more.
  24. Tape him when you shoot him and let us know. I am also of the mid 130s gross.
