  1. I have Nockturnal on my Piledriver bolts... they fit perfectly. But as stated above if loose can use saran wrap.. Love lighted nocks
  2. Welcome.. Been hunting 10 years now myself, started in college, and am always learning from the site... Any equipment questions just start your own thread don't be shy.. Good luck
  3. Wow. Hope it's legit. Mass like that requires significant growth factors in that deer. He isn't even smiling in any of the pics. Hmmm
  4. I have bought 3 bows in 10 years bowhunting I'm about to get my first Elite... I certainly care for them enough that i will be able to have a high resale value to put them on craigslist at some point lol
  5. Honestly after the deer season my bows get put away and i don't shoot again until spring. Interested to see what you guys do.. What is your go to regiment for cleaning and keeping the strings healthy I use the scorpion venom stuff and have good wax too
  6. Tonight we're drinking red! Congrats on your beautiful puppy. He'll be a much bigger enzo than mine!!
  7. Nice! You went with enzo!? In Italian Enzo is like the name Henry which I've read translates to king of the home. My family is sicilian. The Ferrari Enzo was one of my most favorite cars that Ferrari has made.. Also, there also was a famous book called the art of racing in the rain and the main character dog was named Enzo... I see you guys talked about that already. This is our puggle Enzo, he's a great rabbit dog
  8. My dog's name is Enzo which means ruler of the home. Go with something based on his personality and what describes him best
  9. Really impressed with the savage trophy hunter, couple friends of mine own it, and at times i wish i would've went with that instead of my Rem 700.. which was in the $500 range without a scope... never shot a Ruger American..
  10. Awesome. My wife won't leave the burbs for a house with property but I'm fortunate to have close places to hunt. Best of luck
  11. My mathews is from '06 and been looking to upgrade... Where are you located?
  12. Ate tag soup for the first time ever however I passed dozens of deer so I can't complain.. Most memorable time this year was ground hunting with my bow on a ridge and had 3 bucks cross my face at less than 10 yds without noticing me.. The two 3.5 year old bucks I was after did not show for me at all but for my friend saw them just out of range...one 10 and one 9 point.. Next year I'm going to take time off to hunt and use my vacation up.... only took 10 days off total this year and 7 were to get married... also I am going to get a muzzleloader.... Unfortunately a buck I shot last season hasn't been completed yet by the taxidermist.. as a 4.5-5.5 year old 9 pointer he scored 138" and yielded almost 90 lbs of meat.. it's the deer in my profile picture which came from my trail cam last year and I shot him about 75 yds from that trail cam a few days later....
  13. Jumped 3 doe walking in then nothing. 1 muzzleloader shot a couple miles away around 8 and nothing else. Should be action tonight tho... No new pics on cam this week. Scrapes were getting hit a week or so ago but seemed to have dried up..
  14. hahaha... actually pretty organized compared to me!! might need to build an addition!!! I'm trying to attach an insulated shed to the house in 2019 and so far my wife is not putting up a fight..
  15. wow... I've actually seen fines closer to 5k for stuff like this... and with a .22? should be an animal cruelty charge too.
  16. so glad they caught him... I hate hearing stories like this... unfortunately it does look like the same buck
  17. Young bear. Pretty cool and cool color coat
  18. To be continued this week with the ML.. Cam has had 2 different bucks freshening up a scrape/ licking branch around 4:30pm this past week. That cam is 60 yds from my stand. Had one of the bucks come out like clockwork at 4:30pm but he got my wind and bolted because I was facing the other way photographing this little guy..
  19. Sat 2 hrs this morning saw 2 does out of range... Cam had 2 different bucks freshening up a scrape/ licking branch around 4:30pm this week. That cam is 60 yds from my stand. Gonna hunt my way in around 2... Good luck all
  20. Quite cold. 2 doe out of range and this fox and his girlfriend keep chasing eachother all over the damn place. Good luck all
  21. It's a YouTube channel they have a couple seasons worth of hunting now from about half a dozen guys... very knowledgeable and they film for eachother. They set up climbing sticks and hang ons or just bow hunt from the ground..
  22. IMO the crew from "The Hunting Public" are the next big thing in the whitetail hunting world. They are consistently killing deer 140-150"+ on public lands throughout the midwest. They have no idea what deer are around but they use topography and sign and conditions and intense preparation to get into bow range of huge bucks on public land.. That's talent to me and I've learned a lot from them
  23. very sorry to hear about your doggy.... thanks for sharing with us
