Pro-Gun, Anti-NRA
sits in trees replied to Curmudgeon's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Just seems to me that the NRA does things to turn off many gun owners with the people they support politically or have at their rallies, I mean Ted Nugent, really?? and they support politicians who other people, many gun owners could never get behind, politicians who's right wing agenda includes stomping on women's rights or trying to crush unions etc, sorry for getting too political but that's what this is about, I think the NRA would have a lot more power and clout if they dumped the all or nothing stance and distanced themselves from some of the far right wing politicians they have become saddled with. -
AR has been in effect for several years here in 3j and has made a huge difference, before AR you'd be lucky to bag a 4 pointer.

That's what happens when a society is stupid enough to beleive in a corrupt political system, you get fleeced, don't worry more fleecing to come.

That would be really funny if the agitators were really black, but any washing machine I ever owned had white agitators.

Gotta put a support pole/sapling in them, I paid 40 bucks for a replacement hub and supports last year.

Would You Support a Blaze Orange Compromise?
sits in trees replied to wildcat junkie's topic in Deer Hunting
Getting back to blaze, for me personally I like to know what I'm raising my rifle for when I see movement in the far off distance and do not raise my rifle if I see blaze. I also wouldn't want anyone looking at me thru a scope to identify me either that's why I can't wear enough blaze during rifle season. -
Would You Support a Blaze Orange Compromise?

I like wearing blaze during rifle and see nothing wrong with having a law that requires it. -

Look into the new Motorola Droid Turbo, battery will never leave you flat and has a 21 mega pixel cam plus loads of other goodies, Verizon only but that's fine with me, Verizon coverage never leaves me a wantin.

Our great state of NY does nothing better than confused the schiz out of me. The DEC now says its Illegal to shoot wild boars or to set traps for them all while saying they are an invasive species that need to be eradicated¥£#%~??? WTF!

Hunting with a crossbow is a whole new thing, it's like you learn something new every time you go out to the stand. I'm pretty much over my learning curve but it took a couple years, lol.

I've been lucky and never had anything stolen in the woods, but have had things ripped off elsewhere and have to say nothing makes my blood boil more.

sits in trees replied to burmjohn's topic in General Chit Chat
Wow and they couldn't care less about what was going on around them. Someone should have gotten in there and broke it up! -
Actually I like texting my hunting buddies in the woods, it's totally silent, gave up the walkie talkies years ago....

Lightfield slugs are my choice....yours?!
sits in trees replied to turkeyfeathers's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Man I can remember hunting with a slug gun back in the 70s in Dutchess county, I used your basic Remington slugs and my Mossberg Duck pump action with vent rib and smooth barrel. I never got results like that, I was lucky to hit a large pizza at 100 yds. They sure have come a long way... -
Lord have Mercy! It's not of this world!
