  1. Gotta send it to some out of staters. A lot of them still think NYC is crawlin with pimps and Al Capone.
  2. Sorry guys I'm really outta the loop this year. When do they go on sale and what do we have to do now to hunt with crossbows?
  3. Well done, gotta post that link on some of the other forums i frequent.
  4. Is it possibly your dehydrating from working out in the heat?
  5. The Gunks are great. That's Shawangunk, the ice caves are something to see and easy hiking, also the carriage trails on Minniwaska preserve are great. Great views.
  6. Broadheads have become like women's shoes.
  7. Draft Dodger. He also tried to skate on child support. Got no use for him, and the general public thinks he's a fruitcake.
  8. We had some idiot paint blue circles on dozens of trees for some kind of marker. Looks horrible, kinda like an inner city subway car...
  9. I love New Hampshire, its a beautiful northeastern state and I have a good friend that moved there 10 years ago to escape NYs high property taxes. Well the property taxes caught up with him, he pays 13k a year for a 2200 sq ft home on 5 acres in Exeter NH and the deer hunting is terrible. The state has an annual deer season kill of only around 12 thousand. Surely is a scenic state with beautiful forests.
  10. All day, at least 3 or 4 Gatorade bottles filled with water, especially if hiking. Snickers minis, Mounds minis. dried salami, chunk of cheese and a sandwich. That's on top of the basics, knife, drag harness, limb nipper, bino's, compass, grunt call, flashlite, extra underlayment/thermal for upper body. And this all varies greatly depending where I'm hunting, more items if I'm heading out to wide open state land and less if I'm hitting tree stands or blinds on my property.
  11. Ohh I love berries, gotta get them before the black bears do.
  12. I'm liking that torch idea.
  13. I thinks the state is going to end up with a lot of lawsuits on their hands, there are several attorneys state wide the will represent you no charge on safe act confiscations.
  14. So do women actually use those things?
  15. Im seeing road kills at record numbers down here in lower Ulster???
  16. Just eat da meat, I had some well marbled angus porter house steaks from Hannaford super market that were mind blowing on the 4th...hey but that's from a guy who loves hot dogs and brats!!! lol...I say just eat da meat!!!
  17. Yes here too in lower Ulster....funny how people get all worried about seeing one on their property, ahhh city slickers.
  18. I know it all sounds good but the idea of everyone around me packing a gun when I'm out in public, I don't know. I understand it would help keep the criminal element at bay but I have lived to my mid 50s( which includes growing up in NY in the worst crime waves ever) and have never witnessed an armed robbery. Not saying trained and well checked people with concealed carrys bother me but any 20 year old waitress or testosterone charged young guy carrying a gun on their hip, gotta think about that one
  19. That's horrible , and do women actually use those things?
  20. Crossbow manufactures all have a recommended arrow they want you to use. Weight and spine are important due to the short power stroke. Are you using the manufactures arrows. All this being said I noticed the same thing with both of my Excals to a small degree, they seem to lean right at 20 yds but hit square at further distances. It doesn't effect accuracy at all and I haven't seen anything that would indicate penetration problems.
