I knew an older German women who was always asking me about venison shanks and when I told her I threw them out she was like "Vat", give them to me. So I asked her how she prepares them and she did just that, slow cooked in a sauce with wine for many hours and claimed they were the finest part on a deer. I have never tried it but will next season probably in a tomato based/wine sauce with carrots, celery, onions etc.

Just Imagine this scenario "Sniper sits in wooded area outside crowded school yard 100s of yards away and guns down innocents using high powered rifle with telescopic sights" Yea just your average deer rifle which just about all of us own, but that could well be next. The frightening thought to an anti gunner that yea you could be shot at 400yds never hearing the shot or never seeing the shooter. Most anti's have no idea of this but it will surely be brought to light when some nut gets out there with a scoped bolt action rifle.

Not sure how you would be scared to death about Obama being in office while your son serves, he has taken our troops out of most of the hell holes on the planet. If your son was signing up during Bush/Cheney then I think you would have really had something to worry about.

Clean it up with some brake clean and run it to make sure it's leaking from the heads, might well just be the valve cover gaskets. If ur getting alittle seeping from the head that's not the worst thing and can be lived with. I only do head gaskets if I'm getting oil coolant contamination or I'm blowing coolant out the tail pipe, but that's me, if you have the need for a spiffy show car motor than by all means do the heads. But just be sure it's not the valve covers first.

Did you ever think that if it were not for the gun laws and taxes we would be over run with people in every part of this state. I have a well to do aunt in Malvern LI and when i ask the old bird why she puts up with a 16k a year tax bill she tells me "it keeps the riff raff out".. Who knows.

I have always been a proud NY'er and am not afraid to say it no matter where I am. I have spent a lot of time in other states and have found NY has a lot more to offer than most other places. The south is a dump with unbearable heat and humidity, an unintelligent population and many of the states rank first place with things like teen pregnancy, minimum wage jobs, people without health insurance, diabetes, heart disease and obesity all while preaching religion and being uplifted? I like NYs change of seasons and its open minded people have a good sense of haa haa and we have the best restaurants. Our taxes and gun laws are another story but neither has made me put a for sale sign on my property yet.

Im not really sure anyone is cutting off money to gun makers. They have enjoyed record profits for close to a decade now and many small start ups in the industry which started only a few years ago have grown into very large companies employing tens of thousands in America. It is true however that large profitable illegal businesses like garbage carting, gambling, drugs in America have been taken over by huge corporate interest's with the help of the very government that they helped get elected thru campaign contributions. You have to understand its not the government, the government is what is offered up by the people who really pull the strings in this country, where do you think your choices are coming from when you enter that voting both?

My God. Do not switch from Verizon to ATT! I just dumped ATT and their crappy reception for Verizon and now Im in heaven. No more standing out in the rain and cold to get 1 bar and a crappy phone call, no more fearing I will lose reception every hundred feet i drive on the way home and having to time calls around DEAD ZONES.
