  1. That's insane, what could possibly make a duck get that big???
  2. Im sure sale will take off at your local Ganders.
  3. I think a lot of hunters will now find out how limited the distance you can take a shot at a whitetail with a crossbow really is. They are "LOUD" plain and simple and if your not right on top of a deer when you shoot you could very well end up with a miss or worse a wounded deer. The stories that hunters will now be able to shoot deer at 70 and 100 yds with a crossbow will quickly fade. From my own personal experience I wouldn't take a shot any past 30yds and prefer to keep them to 25 or less with my crossbows. The very first time I fired a crossbow about 7-8 yrs ago I was actually a little disappointed after hearing the noise on release, I was like Oh my God this thing is freakin loud and will be totally useless for deer hunting. This is of course after being a vertical bow hunter all my life and having taken numerous deer at 35 and even some at 40 yards with my ultra quite compounds. But now crossbow hunters will have a responsibility to show the hunting community that crossbows aren't the devils seed because you know we will be carefully scrutinized by hunters who didn't want them in bow season and by anti hunters who will be out there and posting videos and pics on the horrors of the crossbow.
  4. I think you would be better served with an Excalibur or regular crossbow.
  5. Yes good news and seems pretty fair.
  6. I see these fools at the station pumping 120 bucks worth of gas in their F-250s and 1500s all the time and just gotta laugh. Its one thing if you can really afford it but if you have to postpone retirement till your 75 just to put gas in a truck your a dum, dum......
  7. Its probably somewhere in the form of a Chinese made lawn mower or something.
  8. OOhhh that is funny, loved that guy! Very motivating.
  9. These right wing rags that advocate violence(even thought the authors would never have any part in it) should be banned.
  10. If I ever reach a point like that in my life sit me near my gun safe and let me do what I gotta do.
  11. I think it will be shot down in higher courts/scotus but wouldn't hold out hope for repeal. It will take years but I also think there will be big problems with the law due to non compliance which could well become a bigger problem for the law in the immediate future. If Connecticut is any indicator the law is in trouble in NY....
  12. Its such a shame that in this great country we have to have mega corporations and dirty politicians decide on how they are going to limit the amazing technology in healthcare that's available today. I say pay the people who deliver the care and develop the technology and limit the huge profits big pharma and the insurance giants can make to cut costs to the patient/sick person. Notice I didn't say consumer. If other country's can do it why cant we. And that evil socialized medicine argument is hogwash because counties like Germany and France are setting the global pace in healthcare and medical technology today and although things are improving we are still behind.
  13. Unfortunately we as a nation are going to have to start paying more for health care. The technology has risen to new levels and when your sick or have a loved one who is sick you will want every bit of that new high tech stuff to be working for you, and its expensive. Statistics will show that eventually you or a loved one will need hospitalization, rehabilitation or even long term care. True we have some of the highest healthcare costs in the world but things like technology (which are helping with curbing cost right now) in the delivery of healthcare as far as record keeping, communications, etc will not be enough. Its going to cost more plain and simple.
  14. Spent the day in Orange Regional Medical center during the week and would have to say the educational level of people coming into NY state is very high. Also that place is an amazing example of efficiency, technology and has a staff that is huge, caring and very well trained. The care there is exceptional, the jobs high paying, I have never seen anything like it, truly something to behold, much like the big city hospitals or medi centers on Long Island and more...Guess Obama care didn't destroy our health care system like many predicted. After spending a day in a place like that where highly skilled people use their training to save lives on a daily basis really shows you how insignificant all this political ranker really is.
  15. Only applies to semi autos with detachable mags.
  16. Same here, this is the first year we haven't had a 20% plus increase at my company. I have a close contractor friend who now has health insurance for him and family and 3 employees now, he had a preexisting condition (blood pressure high and cholesterol) and couldn't even get health insurance thru the private market at any cost, his health ins dropped him when they found out about his blood pressure after he paid them premiums for years. Now he has insurance and he is seeing a doctor on a regular basis. Some good some bad just like anything else I guess.
  17. She's the buxom brunette on the beauty tribe.
  18. Hey I just happened to find this thread and yes I'm for them to answer your question OP.
  19. Dude you should really hit the space bar after your sentences. Your post looks like one really long unending sentence.
  20. What these guys say^^^^^^ but forget going to a shop and expecting a fair shake. Do what was recommended as far as knowing spot at the time and having a scale to weigh. If they are coins then then find the value of the coin, type year etc by researching completed sales of the same coins on Ebay. Goodluck.
