I love my wife of 33 years, but I have to agree with the above^^^^^^^^

I just like going into the woods knowing that there are those once or maybe twice in a lifetime 8 and 9 point bucks out there. Even though they are there doesn't mean I will get one but I just like the idea that the possiblilty is there. Ten years ago before we had AR you would be lucky to even see a 6 pointer and hunters were bagging every spike, 4 or 6 they could shoot. If your a meat hunter what is wrong with just baggin one of the many does that are out in the woods. Hey for me its all about making the game alittle more interesting and sitting a lifetime in the woods knowing you are going to be lucky to see only 4 point and spikers, AAHhhh.

these guys were not around in Ulster before AR, used to be the land of spikes and 4 points if you were lucky....I like what AR has done to my bucks.

I go in any time now after my trail cams have shown me that deer are on the move any time of day, I see activity at my plots at 10am or 12:30 or 1pm or just about anytime. And sometimes its easier getting in without the use of a flashlight which deer can see from a long distance. I slip in mid day with deer only a couple hundred yards from my stand at times. However there is that special feeling you get when nestled in your stand and the sky starts to lighten first thing in the a.m..

Never had anyone in my stands. Who would even want to hunt from someone else's stand?

I've never had the nerve or desire to smell a stink bug, do they really stink? I had one in a paper towel yesterday and it was a hard little bastard, he popped when I squished him....Another get benefit from China.

Bugs are something I just can not live with. I've been seeing the Chinese stink bugs all over my house lately! I had a weird feeling on my arm last night in bed and just scratched my arm in the dark thinking nothing of it then 3 seconds later my wife jumps up in bed and yells AHhh there was something crawling on my neck, so I flip on the lights and there we are 3 oclock in the morning tossing the sheets off the bed and looking for whatever the hell it was, we never found it and needless to say I didn't sleep well for the rest of the morning. Hope you get them little buggers under control, good luck.

Real estate has become a poor investment. Look around and see what's happening, NY real estate is bad, the rest of the country even worse . Yes you can buy cheap now but the market outlook is bleak at best. There's a very good possibility that land you buy today will even be worth less in 5 years and you might be lucky to sell it for what you paid for it in ten years. Look to the markets for investments today, if your not doubling you money in ten years your wasting your time, and you wont double your money in ten years with real estate, those days are gone. The only real estate investments you should make is the one you live in or in other countries. Remember you also have to pay taxes on real estate. The markets have been especially strong in the last 3 years with overseas investments looking better and better.

I saw a male squirrel mount a female squirrel way up a tree during their mating season with the female only hanging a small branch by her 2 front paws and him hanging on her back doing his thing, as soon as he was done he released (or should say he released and was done)and fell about 30 feet and hit the ground with a plop, then got up and ran. Funniest thing I ever saw on of those critters do.

I lived in Bayshore LI many years ago and just couldn't put my finger on why the town of Brightwaters directly south of us looked so classy and neat until one day I hung a sign on a telephone pole on a road in Brightwaters advertising a new business venture I was eagerly undertaking. Well I promptly received a call from the Brightwaters police dept that evening with a warning to never hang a sign in their town again. Im sorry but in many of our upstate towns we have yard sale signs, roofing company signs, car detailing, get with Jesus, save this and save that, gaming, fracking and worst of all Political vote for me signs for elections which seem to come up every other month anymore. Its to a point where it just looks low down and trashy when you pull up to any intersection and everyone and anyone has something stapled to a pole, which by the way will never be remove till Mother nature blows the thing off and it ends up on laying on the street. I understand that everyone wants to exercise their constitutional right to put up signs but other people want to preserve the right to have their neighborhood not look like some kinda low class Times Square either.
