So did you all hear prince Andy’s newest excuse
sits in trees replied to rob-c's topic in General Chit Chat
I've been hearing this people are leaving NY in droves forever yet overall NYS population remains the same for decades with increases in the five burroughs and surrounding areas. There's a major housing shortage in the 5Bs with real estate prices soaring. I'll still take my NY real estate over any other. -
The ages vary, but the ones I'm talking about are the ones who should be starting the American dream with a real career and real jobs and have the money to continue the hunting tradition the way I did when I was young. This so called great economy of young folks working for peanuts with no sick time or vacation time and low pay ,not to mention straddled with college debt does little to help young Americans get into the sport

Most young people I know are working two jobs and that includes weekends. They also can't buy hunting equipment on ten dollar an hour jobs

So did you all hear prince Andy’s newest excuse

I love NY. Never plan to leave. Got everything I want here. And everybody is not moving out of NY. Taxes suck but you'll find other things suck in other states too. -
Funny even with that section of deer bait goodies and all of it's star studded advertising the horse sweet feed and corn shelves were empty
-
I was in my local TSC in the Hudson Valley and noticed they now have an entire deer feeding and attractant section. Nicely displayed licks, feeds, syrups, you name it. With baiting being illegal I was wondering if off season feeding or something I missed was legal.

Mil spec para cord. Un-tie it at the end of the season and bring it in.

Man bathroom project also PEX vs Copper thoughts?
sits in trees replied to burmjohn's topic in General Chit Chat
Shark bite fittings make plumbing a bathroom fun. They are alittle pricey but we'll worth it -
I wish I had that much time on my hands

Awesome Supreme Court Justice pic

I believe every word of this women's story. She has everything to lose coming foward and absolutely nothing to gain and already has right wingnuts giving her and her family death threats. She has had to move from her home because of this. She's a Doctor who knew this would turn her life upside. Kavanaugh was your typical Rodney Rich kid spoiled brat who thought he could get away with this and now it's come back to bite him in his pampered ass. -
So the head and any tagged meat you intend to use are what we are looking at
-
Alright, what about a doe. Telling me I have to cut out the Vag and carry it with me. We have a female game warden in my area, lol. Also the part about all usable meat. At risk of offending I don't eat all the meat and am pretty selective with what I like to eat, same as when I buy steaks at the meat market. Is there any real reason I need to cart meat I'll never eat out if the woods.

Come on, you love dicks -
Anyone know the requirements and legality of butchering deer in the field and packing out the meat?

If any group of people knows about meat cutting, it's the Germans

If Racoons are getting in you garage why not seal things up to prevent them from getting in in the first place. You'll just end up with more racoons and be stuck with an ongoing life long problem

Test Message Coming On Your Phone Thursday

I'm already scared -
I converted to pop up/hub blinds years ago for rifle hunting and have had great success using them for rifle hunting. I have over the years also tried them for bow hunting but have to say have had limited success with them. No matter how long they're out there deer just seem to bust me in them for that up close bow shot. Was wondering if anyone out there is still making natural brush blinds and what techniques you might be using. I've seen a few on You Tube and have to say I'm pretty impressed. Was wondering how they work in NY type terrain especially with fall leaf loss you'll encounter in later season.

Yea or having the option to shimmy down as apposed to hanging around waiting for help. Could be a long time. -
Safety harnesses.
sits in trees replied to Bionic's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
I'm also looking into suspension relief straps. My understanding is when hanging in a harness for more than ten minutes things could get ugly for your circulation. I always went by the idea of staddling the tree and cutting the harness then shimmying down. Anyone have any thoughts on this? -
