i was hoping he would line drive it right into Palins pie hole.

i just ate a heart last week of bow season, very, very good, its a shame to hear about all the hearts left out there to rot. i did mine by cutting it up pretty small and simmering in beef stock with alittle white wine, onions, garlic, for 3 hours. towards the end i added alittle tomatoe paste, hot sauce, cayenne pepper, salt, and then poured over white rice was great!
-
yea a blaze orange vest tied to the top is a good idea during rifle season.
-
i've always liked blinds for turkey season but this is the first year that i have used them for bow and rifle deer season, and i really really like the way they conceal movement! you can pour a cup of coffee, kick back and when put out early enough before the season the deer seem to totally except them. how many of you guys are using them for deer?
-
how do you guys cook them up...never ate squirrel? are they like chicken?
-
alot of places without trails make even a quad impossible. gut the deer then cut the whole rear off using one of them small saws for the spine leaving the sex organs intact. then run a blad down the skin along the spine and skin the back out partially (easy on a warm deer) then fillet the straps off the back throw em in a plastic bag then into your back pack. tie the legs together and drag the hinquarters out, easy, easy, easy.....to many 50 yr olds have dropped draggin deer outta the woods.....
-
from a forensic standpoint i believe thats exactly what happened..this deer was stunned and immobile for close to 40 minutes. something i have never seen in 40 yrs of whitetail hunting.
-
well my hunting buddy shot a buck and it was an obvious spine hit, the deer dropped, kicked for bout a minute and stopped. well my buddy walked the 25 mins to join me and we headed back to the deer he thought was dead. we approach the deer at about 40 yds and up it pops dragging its back legs with what appears to be complete lower paralysis and starts to bounce off. well my buddy raises his rifle to put a finnishing shot into this buck that didnt look like it would get far, and just like that the beast jumps up to all fours and runs off like nothing ever happened????? i have learned something new from this and that is even if a deer looks spined dont give him any time, get another shot into him right away.
-
every year for as long as i can remember this type of stuff happens, everyone jumps and hollers about what an IDIOT the shooter was and how we have to change things, but in all honesty and not to lighten this type of situation "Nothing Changes"?? i've come to the conclusion that hunting is a dangerous sport and i accept that nowing very well that when i walk out to the woods in tha dark that yea something bad could happen. there will always be that hunter who will take that really early shot, or the guy thats so hyped up on killing a deer that he is having hallucinations and seeing deer where there is a hunter, or the guy that heads out during rifle season in full camo. Nothing Changes, thats the way it is.

now that we have hundreds of thousands of hunters walking around NY states woods how many of you have shot or seen these wild boar their talking about?

OHHH come on, give us your address we gotta see this? -
wait a minute, isnt it the all mighty bowhunting group that are always crowing about we dont want crossbows in our woods because it will encourage too many amateurs to get into our hunting season and u will see wounded deer all over the place? kinda a funny how u just cant conceal BS sometimes, let it simmer for a while and the sludge always floats to the top, lol..

sharpie is the way to go. i hate fidgetitng with frozen pens in the woods or for that matter anywhere!
-
these guys just love using technical terms which they damn well know you havent heard of or you wouldnt be asking about what to do with a skull. they want you to reply and ask as you did just so they can go " oh this is the process in which, yadi, yadi, yada". makes em sound real smart instead of just saying that taxiderms have flesh eating beetles which they put in a tank with yer skull for a week or two and they do all the work.
