  1. I've had great success with clover and brassica in my plots.
  2. I planted clover and brassica this past spring. This is my 5th year of having a plot in this location and the deer pound it even though there is a cornfield 100 yards away. I planted clover, sugar beets and chickory the first year and after 5 years the native plants were starting to take over the plot again.
  3. I hope this works...I put this video together using a series of trail cam pictures of 3 young bucks sparring in my foodplot. The honeysuckle bush in the photos is in the center of the foodplot and became the location of a "Community Scrape" with 8 different bucks using the same scrape. I even have pics of does visiting the scrape. You can see it appears each buck works the scrape prior to doing battle. <iframe src="https://www.facebook...151132619201242" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0"></iframe>
  4. I have 6 calls I just finished and 8 more on the bench in various stages, since you are local you have the option of actually playing them before you buy them...Reeltime is DEADLY with his Burrville Bomber!...Funny I'm looking for powder also and you already answered one question I had...I was wondering if Van Tassel's sold reloading supplies. Thanks!
  5. Thanks for the nice welcome guys...Joseph thanks, I make longboxes and feel free to contact me any time. I knew Dan was a reloader and was glad to see he was on here...I'm sure I'll be bugging them all...LOL
  6. Dan's a great guy and a lot of fun to hunt with!
  7. While on the phone with reeltime the other night he mentioned this site and that there were some folks I might know on here, so I thought I'd check it out. I kind of got away from the forums for a while but with all of the BS surrounding our gun rights I figured now would be a good time to start re-connecting with other gun owners so we can stay informed and spread the word. I'm an avid hunter from Watertown and have been dabbling in the turkey call business for over 25 years, which involves two of my passions woodworking and turkey hunting. I just recently bought a reloader and will be picking peoples brains about that I'm sure. This forum looks great and I've read several very interesting posts...Looking forward to spending some time on here.
