Well, TC III is too tall, and Otto, Lawdwaz and Robhuntandfish are too good looking to be my progeny... I'd claim Treeguy, but he's too young... Fortunately a couple of others are also too young, because I'd have to shoot myself if I thought I may have spawned them....

A buddy of mine who is an experienced and very successful trapper uses a .22 CB short behind the shoulder for yotes and bobcats...For fox and coon he stuns them with a club between the eyes and then stomps on the ribcage to collapse the lungs.. I used the CB short on the bobcat I caught last year..Shot him in the lungs and was surprised at how quickly he expired, just a matter of seconds...The bullet didn't exit and the entry wound was so small I couldn't find it until I skinned him....

Glad you are feeling better, Tim ..Good luck to your wife..I am also getting tested today..I learned late yesterday that I was exposed to a person who now has it about 8 days ago.. I am showing no symptoms though, so I'm hopeful I dodged the bullet..

Out of likes, Chef....Put me down for a BUNCH for your Grandpa's medals and that M-1.... I also have a WWII vintage M-1 ( 1943 Springfield reciever) and wonder what it may have witnessed .... My Dad served aboard a Fletcher Class destroyer for over two years in the Pacific and saw LOTS of action...His ship was involved in many of the battles taking back the Islands from the Japanese, and suffered 30 + casualties from bomb hits.. However, he once told me that his main goal after serving 2+ years in the South pacific was to get back somewhere that he could take a **** without the sweat running down the crack of his ass.. He once spent 6 months without setting foot on dry land..Took on ammo, fuel and stores at sea... When I served aboard a destroyer in 1971-73, I spent no longer than two weeks at sea at a time, and nobody was shooting at me....I can t imagine what he went through...

I lost one of my best hunting, fishing, and girl chasing buddys in Vietnam, as well as several other friends...Was a pallbearer at his funeral just one month before I left for active duty myself. It was the first time that I cried since I was 12 years old.... He never made it to his 21st birthday... I still think about him nearly every day...... Thank you all for remembering guys like him....

I am a big hash fan..I like it out of the can, but The Mermaid won't touch it,, She DOES however, like the made from scratch hash that I do when I happen to have some leftover corned or roast beef.. Whenever I think of hash, I remember eating with my buddies at a greasy spoon diner near the boat launch in Niantic, Conn. on a fishing trip.. The proprietor was a cranky old Greek dude, but his homemade hash was to die for !!...

This is abso ****ingloutley correct.....Happens with the gun also, but with the gun you are in a better position to get another good shot in before the deer gets up and runs away, never to be seen again....Don't ask me how I know this, but it comes from experience, and not just my own...
