Back in my former life, when I could still leave the house on foot and hike for hours, and there were still a reasonable amount of chucks in the hayfields, I eventually stopped using varmint rifles and started shooting them with my deer/big game rifles just to get some trigger time with them...Shot some with the 7 x 57, the 8x57, the 30-06, the 25-06 and probably more with the .280 Rem than anything else, because it was my primary hunting rifle at the time... They all worked just fine...

If you want to take the family out and get some sun, drink a few beers, and cruise the lakeshore, get a pontoon and hope the wind isn't over 5 MPH when you load and unload... If you want to fish, get a deep V 17 like your cousins.....Good luck and have fun...

For a gun season murder plot , do the deer have a preference between wheat, oats and rye..? I have planted wheat and oats and had about equal luck with them, but never tried rye...I do plan to seed perennial clover along with whatever cereal grain I decide to plant....

Yes, they are true bass along with white bass and stripers... Largemouths and smallmouths however, are members of the sunfish family...

A lodge where I stayed several times in Maine....The locals much preferred the white perch, in fact one guy told me he threw yellow perch on the ice for the eagles....My buddy and I caught some nice ( 1 lb.) white perch and they were very good....I would not go so far as to say they were better than the yellows, though..

There are so many, but the first movie that comes to mind that is hilarious from beginning to end is the original " Airplane"...It has to be in the top ten.... An honorable mention would be " Something About Mary"...I watched that film by myself the first time and there were several times when I broke out laughing out loud.... " We've got a BLEEDER !!"....Hehehe.... A couple of my favorite youtube clips ….. " Clapper Caper" with Johnny Carson and Jack Webb..I cannot watch it without laughing, no matter how many times I have seen it and I know every word by heart.. Also, "Grizzly Bear Man"...In order to fully appreciate it, you need to first watch the trailer for " Grizzly Man" which is a documentary about Timothy Treadwell aka Timothy Tastewell, who considered himself a savior for Alaska.s grizzlies and managed to get himself and his poor ignorant girlfriend eaten by a bear in the process... Grizzly Bear Man is a masterpiece of a parody...
