  1. first time I saw em hate not knowing, my dog tried to eat em but I stopped him. plenty of squirrels in the area around em though. figure they must be sweet cause there weren't many on the ground.
  2. wondering what this is. found em when I was out scouting. trying to figure out if its worth setting up where I found em. funny thing was I couldn't exactly pick out what tree they were falling from. plan on going back with my binos and trying to figure it out. but they were riiiight near my cam.
  3. planning on heading up there this weekend, anyone ever fish or hunt here? taking the kids up to check it out and do a little hiking/fishing. read somewhere that fahnstock was pointless to hunt so I figure I would check this place out then move over to fahnstock if I have time. anyone been nosing around there lately? wondering how it is in there
  4. Leverage stick and drury evolution stand for under 20 pounds. Light enough to go far and not feel it. I was freaked out goin in at night (city kid) but i been in the woods i hunt so much in a year its nothin now. Knowin whats over the next hill killed that. Get in early takes me 15 mntse to put my stand up. If im rushing cause im late i make way to much noise. But i also keep a cheap heavy stand in the woods
  5. Best adice i got last year when i started was find a busy trail and setup on it with ur stand. Learn from there. All i do now is look for trails with scat on it walkem to whete they lead and figure stuff out from threr

  7. Zwickey 170 grain this year. Last year i took a shot with. Thunderheads and they sometimes whistled when i shot em. Course that was my first year but they flew fine otherwise. My only issue with zwickys is i have to spend quite a bit of time geten em nice and sharp.

don't think I would take a crack at that
  12. could go with the stick hangon combo. I personally like it better than climbers. though it looks like you can recline a lot better in a climber, I would prolly just fall asleep easier
  13. man I wish I could disconnect from the city life. very nice indeed. at some point in the near future I plan on buyin some land upstate. prolly wont be but a few acres but I plan on doing this very thing. small enough for me to handle on my little weekend gettaways

  15. Got a cooler that my 130# wife can fit in. Though i have yet to use it. Ima gear whore. It goes in my minivan...
  16. Wondering if anyone ever used this. picked one up figuring it would be helpful but haven't seen any good reviews about em online. See plenty about the Gazzette for NY but not much for this. figure it would be good for helping me pick out camping/hunting/fishing/hiking spots. have a GPS that I use but I don't really use it to study areas just to mark my trails and spots I want to come back to and since im not always near a computer to get google earth I figured this would be handy. supposed to have spots on it already picked out but not sure. Thanks in advance
