  1. UpTown ~ griping isn't the problem. Im standing on the block and those bolts are not moving. Some good ideas posted ~ I thank you. I would like to say I'm very impressed withe the scope also. Hawk sr ir. Match the FPS up on the dial and site in 30yrds and we are good out to 100yrds. No Ive only shot about half that but I really havnt had time to play with it yet. Also the scope illuminates red or green and I had enough light bouncing around in her to clearly target shoot well into the evening

  2. I have a big green bag (yeah I forget the name also)for the compound but I was afraid of going threw it. It stops the arrows from the Mathews chill just fine so mabie Ill try it with the block behind it. Biz - how fast are you shooting? Do you know the name of your discharge target? I was concerned about how that's going to go. I Read about the soap trick , was worried about the rail with the soap but probably insignificant

  3. Is there a game trail going from your property to the lick? ;-). I would consider stealing someone else's property a much higher offence than the salt lick itself. In fact I would have you arrested and I'll take the fine for the lick. Sounds like from the position of it if you called the authorities he will know it's you anyways so why bother??But if it bothers you that much I would personally ask him to remove it. You won't have a friendly neighbor anymore but that's your choice.

  4. Does anyone know the closest Scorpyd dealer to rochester? I would be realy interested in trying that new monster they came out with. Anyone order one on line? Positive or negative experience?

  5. Are you near that piece of land that sold next to the power lines last year? My parents are off of Bills rd and live way back. The only place that anyone has seen a coyote is between Bills and cream ridge Rd~ that I know of. Crops were not planted off the adjoining property this year for the first time in decades so last year wasn't as productive as years past plus I was pretty selective. Soon as the season was over a dozen come passing threw every evening lol

  6. Question ~ I realise some meat hunters don't care about horns I get that. I believe it's a safe usmption also that everyone understands that for the restriction to work it must be a large area. Besides the first two years wouldn't antler restriction Benifit both sides of the coin? That spike everyone had to pass on didnt disapear ~ he now has much bigger Mass and horn wise. Your chances of taking a buck is the same as it was before antler restriction.Wouldn't it be a win win?? Who wouldn't want bigger deer? Can't one just take a extra doe in the mean time? I'm for it under this mind set but I'm willing to listen to the other side of the coin. I believe youth should be a exception. How much of a dent would that really make? I'm sure some one has the numbers but I'm thinking no dent at all really. And being a bow hunter I would like to keep my two tags. That may be selfish but again what is the actual impact?

  7. I can't c the DEC bothering to come out for some one shooting a half hour before or after the time unless it was a trespass issue. Im surrounded and hunt private land.Could be different on public land but around here it's as common as some one in Colarado smoking a joint, yes technically it's illegal but half the people are doing it. Sounded like a war zone Sunday till you couldn't c anymore.

  8. Yes and no. My brother shot this late season a few years back. It's nutzz were deformed. We did some research but it's not gospel. It can also be caused by the likes of a leg injury say a car accident. Now if a deer doesn't drop its antlers it will develop cauliflower antlers 'shaped like cauliflower' that is even rarer.

  9. Thunnus ~ that's a interesting concept but if you think about it a doe has pushed button bucks away from her months ago and they seem to do quite fine. The only reason (my opinion) to take a fawn instead of the mom would be to leave her to attract the bucks. Personally I don't shoot either but im not starving if I don't fill a freezer.

  10. My parents own land and were under that idea at one time. DEC actually told them this is a myth. They need probable cause. They can not come on your land with out probable cause of a crime. Same as anyone else. Constitutional rights are not suspended cause of a different badge. I could be wrong but I would like to c reference to the actual law if in disagreement.
