This is what I was anticipating when I bought a Remington 700 last year. Now I just need to replace the trigger.I wonder if Letchworth Park will allow rifles now.
-
The story I was told is that the trigger assembly was made in Mexico and there was too much thread sealant on some set screws which caused an unsafe condition. 2006-2014 is a high number of rifles made. Also heard law enforcement /military have priority (they should).I also will be sending back to Ilion,N.Y. or wherever the instructions tell me to. I think a free box of ammo is in order due to my having to remove/install the scope again after the rifle is deemed safe.I will not be leaving the scope on while it is away from home.

Just found out about this today and of course my 700 is being recalled.I should have bought the Ruger American like I had planned on.My car has been recalled,my Remington, and my NEW Frigidair refrigerator has a problem even AFTER a repairman was here last week to fix it.KEEP OUTSOURCING PARTS OUT OF THE U.S. YOU STUPID CORPORATE MANAGEMENT LOSERS !

Late to the party I know, thanks for the laugh. -
I hunted private property in 8F opening morning, heard no gobbles from dark to after 10 .Another hunter near me saw a coyote.Hunted this morning on State land in 8M and also heard no turkeys, had a fox come by.I did hear a shotgun blast shortly after sunrise.Talked to two other hunters and they heard nothing as well..On the way home a couple of miles away saw 2 coyotes trotting across a field at about 11 am.Including last year I have not heard a gobble in the last 6 or 7 times out.Very disappointing not to hear any turkeys anywhere.I did see a flock of about 7 with 2 gobblers fanned out in an area that is a park near Rochester on the way home so at least I saw some turkeys.
-
Congratulations.I will be happy if I just hear a gobbler this year.

Happy birthday .I hope your doing whatever it is that Pygmys do best!

I was told last week by an employee at Dick's Sporting Goods that it will be 3 to 4 years before .22 ammo will be back to being readily available. He said 3 manufacturers have said this.We shall see.

Voted, good luck. -
“We’ve had a number of vendors come in,” D’Amico said. “We have others scheduled, looking for an option that is absolutely seamless and instantaneous at the point of sale. Until such time as we can come up with that, we’re not ready to do it. Well then it sounds like this will never happen, AWESOME !

I hope more New Yorkers contact those that represent them and ask them to support this bill.If enough people call ,write or e-mail and VOTE,changes can be made ! Ask your family, friends and neighbors to do the same. I am not going to let ignorant egotistical politicians re-write the second ammendment without my objecting to it.I hope all of you will do the same.

Protecting our Second Amendment rights is a fundamental right that I take very seriously. That is why I am sponsoring legislation, S.5626, which would repeal Governor Cuomo’s ill-conceived gun control law. The Governor's legislation violates the freedoms of law-abiding gun owners and it does nothing to stop criminals from gaining access to guns, or to prevent violent crimes in our community. You and I know that responsible, law-abiding firearms owners are not the cause of the problem and they should not be penalized. Your support of S.5626 will help me in my efforts to restore our constitutional Second Amendment rights. Channel News 10 ABC out of Rochester recently did a segment on the Webster Volunteer Fire Department, one year after the passage of Governor Cuomo's gun legislation that I thought you might like to see. Please click HERE to view this eye opening news story on the reaction of the Webster Volunteer Firefighters to the Governor's gun law. Sorry Larry I didn't mean to imply the Rochester Fire Dept. I was thinking more about the other City employees. There are some intersections such as Driving Park/Lake Ave that are not easy to get through without pulling forward when turning. The green arrow there only allows 3 vehicles to make it through before both sides have a green light-and then you are stuck.

I'm thinking Broncos too however it is the Super Bowl and anything can happen such as injuries, turnovers, bad calls , power failures .........

In Rochester the government employees are exempt from being fined.Do as I say not as I do.

Commercial banned during the super bowl . . .
132 eight pointer replied to Deerthug's topic in General Chit Chat
If the bowl was being played in Dallas the ad might have made it. There was a commercial rejected last year that was supposed to show Joaquin Phoenix pretending to drown in a tank of water, something to do with a fish suffering or some b.s. So I guess the network or NFL is trying to keep things uncontroversial. -

22 Hornet ammo has been hard to find around Rochester anyways.
