I am a NY State native living in NC now. I'm a deer hunter feral hog and interested in bear... Also the small game you mention. The deer here tend to be smaller than up in NY I would very much like to "get onto" a monster and I too am more interested in the hunt than the outcome necessarily. I know that the distance would preclude frequent hunts but have Jeep and time and more than eager to make connections .. Redneck ha! I think in many parts NY have more rednecks than here in Raleigh Durham! Hardcore what part on NC and NY? I'm in Cary and joined the Fellowship gun club in Castalia Nash County. They hunt deer with dogs during a certain part of the season. I've also hunted game lands. looking forward to Spring turkey and then focus in feral hogs in Johnston county and down near Wilmington. I've heard Holly Shelter is good and Woukd like to try bear hunting so lots of things on my bucket list. I'd welcome feedback / suggestions. do you still get down this way? From Finger Lakes now in NC. The deer are smaller here, but plentiful. Also bear and hogs in some areas, turkey too. Looking to hunt in NY and host anyone who might be interested in NC hunting or anywhere on east coast,... have rifle, shotgun and Jeep,... will travel. Glad to join and get info and make connections with NY hunters. Mike
