these were in exact same spot on state land. the daytime buck was shot that year when it was bedded down in pretty thick stuff late gun by a friend of mine. night buck was a ghost i never saw him or heard about a compatible buck being killed that year. my backyard is 1500 acres of state land. that night buck looks older to me. 1st photo was a buck i saw alot i dunno if he made it out alive that year or not. 2nd was on a frozen creek i was hoping for a bobcat or an otter but all i got was a coyote fox lots of coon and then a lot of turkeys wondering what the hell i was doing. the last was a strange dude in my backyard beneath an apple tree. -

Good day no need for fancy equipment. Used crankbaits and jigheads. Lake trout and landlocks. Sent from my SM-S820L using Tapatalk

About Christmas a co-worker asked me for antlers because he wanted to get back into making knifes. I had about 15 to 20 sheds and other antlers from deer I killed or found dead I gave him. I got my knife back and it's really nice. I know exactly which shed he used and I could take anyone right to where I found it because I hunt there regularly and it's about a five minute walk from my backdoor. Caught in steuben county two years ago and released I've heard rumors of a season sooner or later I know a guy who said he shot one last year during a deer drive

The thorns themselves might be slightly poisonous it hurts when the poke you and they are sharp.

I have a couple that grow right off yard out back on state land. Thinking about it the deer walk right through them and even though I've seen lots of marble sized apples on them they are never laying around this time of year. I bet something eats them. It's a compressed old thicket and the vegetation beneath it is suppressed like underneath a black walnut tree would be.

You can get them though sometimes I feel ppl overestimate them if that is even possible

Yep I've only gone on 1 out of state hunt but hearing stories of those that have and being a nys bowhunter who hunts 80percent of the time on state land a 3.5 buck is a smart moth**fu****

I bet most 3.5 nys bucks are harder to kill than most 4.5 Iowa bucks are.
