Same here. Glad I have an XJ (regular cherokee) and not a ZJ (grand cherokee)

The abundance of rabbits should keep the Ermine busy. A Victor rat trap baited with chicken livers and anise oil will end their killing.

Off til' Monday, so it's mushroom time!!! My marinated pork loin needs some company on tonight's dinner table

Sweet pics. Ya can't slay em all. If this guy is a resident then I'd love to see what he looks like in 2 years!

Not a problem bud, I'm the same way. I always keep the DEC tip line # in my phone. Predator hunting is a blast and for me it is right up there with deer hunting. They are very smart, wary, and sneaky so hunting them is tough. A shotgun with #4 buckshot is deadly on yotes! I use a .22mag as well during deer season. If ya need another gunner or caller I hunt yotes in Whitney point, and Lisle alot. Gonna get back into trapping this year too.

My 99Jeep Cherokee sport just rolled 197,xxx and doesnt skip a beat. It's a 4.0 inline six

Fell off the first hanger while trying to get it onto the second. Pinned my hand to a workbench and .....crunch. I should've just let it fall.

4th & 5th metacarpals are broken. Gotta take tomorrow and sat. off and see an orthopedic on monday to see if I'll need surgery or pins. Dangit!
-
Yeah I'm gonna go this evening. Can't risk bow season

Wooly- ever tried screening for dobson? It's pretty cool, plus stonecats are frequently caught if you do it in a shallow weedbed. We can usually get 4-6 doz. stoneys in an hour or two.

Not trying to sound rude, but this is the reason that better bucks might be found in the soggy bottoms. There's less human pressure. I know islands on rivers that harbor deer all year long. My river spots may be different from the marsh though because I can scout/glass the deer from the other side and pretty much pattern them before opening day. It's kind of hit or miss though, there's nothing more aggravating than raging river currents on opening morning when you've patterned 2 bucks on a 6 acre island for a month! I say go for it as long as you can do it safely.

Those of us with roots in these hills most likely have relatives/ancestors who used to eat most wild game. These were folks who worked their fingers to the bone to support their families. Would they complain? Nope, for they knew that they were eating better than their yuppy brethren down in the horse $**t covered streets of the city. Sewer rats or woodchuck? I'd choose chuck! ...........and l do, after a long day of hunting. Nothing beats a cold winter woodchuck!

That's not a laughable idea at all. It just shows how willing you are. I'm gonna do it this year too, if river levels are good. Stay safe and be sure someone knows where you'll be and what time you plan on being out. Get yourself a good drybag and strap it in the canoe. In the bag you should have food, water, dry clothes, lighter, cellphone, etc.

She might be broken! It was twice that size last night. My fiance pleaded with me all night to go to the ER, but knowing I had to be up early and how long it takes to get in & out of there, I just kept it wrapped with a bag of frozen spinach all night. Needless to say, I was a bit unproductive @ work today. I can now just start to wiggle my ring finger and pinky, so maybe it's not broke. That's what I get for trying to hang my 16' old town canoe in the shed, in the dark. Oh well, could be worse.

Nah. Found a site with some funny ones. Now it crashed. You jinxed it! lol

Pastrami and (real Georgia) vidalia onions lightly sauteed, on a club roll with whole grain dijon mustard and a slice of smoked provolone. or Lamb, pork, chicken, venison or wild turkey spiedies w/ extra cheese & mushrooms.

Test the alternator too. It may not be charging the batt. I'd hate for you to get stranded on a dead(brand new) battery. Also make sure your serpentine belt is not stretched/cracked and that it has proper tension.
-
Also check your ground wires that go from the NEG- battery cable to the chassis and/or from the block to the firewall. They like to jiggle loose and play havoc. Ground wires/straps need to be maintained fairly regularly. The copper likes to corrode. If the wires are still good just clean the connections good. Hope it works out. A call to the shop couldn't hurt and if they stand by their work they should be able to work with you since they mis-diagnosed it.

I had to opt for DSL because they don't have FIOS in my area. RR IMO is very good ,but the DSL gets er' done
-
Lol I wasn't implying that you killed the deer. Definitely best to let the does walk if you hear grunting!
-
Doc, I have heard of people doing that. Not sure how they would get out of the dish contract though. I left TW last year and have been happy with DirectV and Verizon DSL. The channel line up is somewhat screwy, but it works. I get local channels too.

I should've said, "who's killing deer in July". Naturally killed or road killed deer aren't normally skinned down to the elbow.
-
Well the guy walking around on the deck of the house didn't spook them, so there was probably a bear on the corn pile!???
-
Who's wasting shoulders? In July, no less!
