  1. Yeah definitely, just looking to find a website for more of a bargain when I find the right ammo
  2. Located in queens, was going to order ammo from cheaperthandirt.com but they don't send to NY which sucks. Any other websites that do or know of any place that has a decent price
  3. Nice think ill try out the 150s maybe a box of 165 as wel
  4. As some of you know I purchased the savage 116 trophy hunter xp 30-06 the guy at the shop suggested 180 grain so did my friend but when I was shooting today at the range the guy told me to try the 150 said that's what he uses for deer now is it just a personal preference or is one better for deer hunting within 100 yards
  5. I'm interested as I am a novice in hunting and looking for others to hunt with where can I find the address to rocky point I might take the drive out there
  6. Nice! your all getting me excited over here while I'm at work, where is the weekend!
  7. Alright so it's not a axis I guess lol not a big deal still a good gun from what I read will be shooting all weekend
  8. What makes u say that I could be wrong just wondering how you could tell
  9. So I ended up getting a rifle setup, right here is the savage axis 116 trophy hunter 30-06. this is a solid gun with a smooth bolt also came with a 3x9 Nikon scope. Also has a accutrigger which pretty much is the reason I bought it lol . Super happy can't wait to shoot it and sight it in
  10. Well what's the reason for that wouldn't just the size of the bbs inside matter most
  11. Now what's the most common 12 gauge shell length
  12. Ok now I know I'm a little late on purchasing a gun for hunting season but I just got my hunting license and just found out even though I'm from the city I can buy a gun and leave it out of the 5 boroughs without the long process of the rifle/shotgun permit. Don't know if I want a 12 gauge or a 30-06 I already have a bow just want to know how many ppl on here hunt for deer with a shotgun. I'm leaning more towards the rifle for the longer range then my bow, but also thinking about turkey and maybe waterfowl hunting so just looking for an opinion. Also if u have any particular guns that I should look into just let me know. I know there to totally different guns and I would eventually need one if waterfowl hunting but mostly concerned with deer Sorry for the stupid thread topic it won't let me change it lol
  13. I would recommend queens archery only thing is they open late on week days and out of the two days there's leagues but of you get there when they open or early on weekend it's pretty empty. 12$ if you have your own bow
  14. I should of asked for a range longer then 20 yards because everyone is over looking what I asked and is just assuming I'm trying to become a 60 yard warrior
  15. I've only been shooting at queens archery out in flushing I haven't gotten a chance to make it to pro line yet maybe I'll go check them out today. As everyone says I'm not planning on taking a deer at 60 yards just want to get some confidence in different ranges instead of being dead accurate at 20 yards and nothing else.
  16. What makes you assume i haven't, why else would I ask about a longer range.
  17. Could be in Long Island also just need one to get some practice in ASAP
  18. Ahhaha I think that one leans more to some 1940s street shooting
  19. Very true well for right now I'll probably be more of the walk 100 yards in until I get more comfortable but eventually want to get deep into the woods
