Is the NRA giving us a con-job ???
arrowflinger replied to fasteddie's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
NRA should have stayed out of crossbow legalization in PA and MI. I was paying them to protect 2nd amendment rights, not force inclusion of string guns onto those that did not want them. They will not get another dime from me. -
LMAO I disapprove of Congress's performance. I have a higher approval rating for Republicans than Democrats. I feel that country is headed down the wrong track. Yet......I do not think the country is in grave danger, or that there is a dire threat to our nation. You can't declare victory just yet, dude. Gotta poll that shows Americans believe the more radical crap you two are spewing?

It is clear that the majority of Americans do not agree with your impending doom theory. Treason does not, by definition, require personal gain. I agree that you, and even more extreme right wingers, have the right to say whatever you want. After all, we let skinheads march and allow that idiotic religious group to protest at military funerals. That does not mean that I cannot, or should not, consider some comments as treasonous. The revolutionary tone that I have heard from the right wing nuts is uncalled for.....and smacks of treason, IMO.

Yet another cheap shot. -
You didn't answer my questions, you merely insulted me. You cannot desire a serious discussion when you only hurl insults. I am not particularly concerned if you respect me or not, to be completely honest. That was no insult... just observation... and I didn't see any particular question you were asking that pertained to this thread How about this one? What, exactly, are we in "grave danger" from now? Another American's political views? Really? It was in post 35....you know the very post before you called me childish and insinuated I am not worthy of respect. Most would consider the comments insulting. You should practice what you preach.

It is difficult for me to assign the same threat level to illegal immigration as global annihilation. One of the things that worries me most is that ultra right wing nut jobs who are planning for the government's collapse actually instigates the government's collapse. What some consider patriotic speech, I view as blatant treason.

Yup....lots. I never said he was different than others. Still, the fact that a large portion of every dollar donated gets sucked away by executives should trouble you. Your money isn't going to support our cause....it is going to line their pockets. -

Corporate CEOs do not run "non-profit" organizations. Every dollar La Pierre gets is a dollar that was donated to protect 2nd amendment rights....not line his pockets. -

And spend it. La Pierre makes $900,000/yr. Not a particularly good use of the funds donated to a "non-profit." -

When has the world not been changing? What liberties, specifically, are being threatened or taken? What is so dire that you can envision a collapse of the American way of life, which is the envy of people across the globe, anytime in the foreseeable future? -
You guys cannot expect serious discussion when you throw out ridiculous hyperbole such as the country is in "grave danger." We were in "grave danger" during the Cuban missile crisis. We were in "grave danger" during the economic meltdown. What, exactly, are we in "grave danger" from now? Another American's political views? Really? Its ridiculous.

Paranoid ranting. Our country is in no danger of losing our democracy. There have been economic challenges in the past...America has survived them. There has been ideology shifts throughout our history......America has survived them. Our system allows for political and ideological change, but it comes relatively slowly. A more fiscally conservative congress elected last November is a start. -

Your math is required of all Regents students as a minimum. In addition to your science, another is required (Earth Science or Bio.) -

Today's HS grads are far more prepared for college than a generation ago. Your premise is fundamentally flawed.
