Have only hunted 2 days so far because of school... coming home in 3 days and am really excited to get back in the stand on long island see if i can put one down. Just wondering what the woods have been like. Anyone having luck? at least seeing deer?

i still have my rifle buck tag... your saying i could use that for a buck on long island with the doe?

i appreciate the reply eycee1 but i would love to be able to shoot a buck and doesnt look like thats possible

oh that may be my problem because i got a doe tag for rifle in zone 4p... does that negate everything you said earlier then? thanks again for your answer

hey for all the guys who bow hunt deer on long island i have a little dilemma i need to get cleared up. I shot a doe 2 weeks ago and used my either sex tag because that was the only tag i had.(It was my first deer with the bow that i just wanted to put down) Went to ridge and thought i would be able to get another tag but could not. They said i should have gotten two doe tags along with my either sex tag so now i cant shoot a buck this year or for that matter even another doe if i wanted to. Can someone explain this to me how many tags you guys got for long island.

obviously not a buck or even a brute of a doe but man was i excited to put down my first ever deer with the bow after a 2 years of hard hunting. finally got it done yesterday on the island with a 20 yard shot. This is what i found after about a 60 yard blood trail.

anyone have action here? hunted here once earlier in the season and didn't see a thing. anyone have any luck or even seeing deer at any of these spots with the rut heating up?

just found out i am traveling to south dakota in late december to hunt south dakota with a friend... beyond excited. hoping to see a monster! anyone ever hunt there?

no disrespect at all... found out my own answer. not an illegal hunter at all being that i have one deer that was legally shot.

no i disagree plus there is no need to answer if you do not feel the need... dont see anything wrong with the question at all. Im a young hunter who has only hunted long island a couple times and that was in december which would be the late season. just trying to make sure the rules are the same for all times of the season since i will be going soon.

is it true if i hunt at otic pike i can shoot either a doe or a buck?

i saw these on the internet and they seem really easy to aim from when in a tree stand. does anyone use one on their bow? and if so how do you like it?

hey guys have a pair of boots already but wanted to hear some opinions on a pair of rubber boots. feel as though they are easier to put on/take off and just the waterproof factor. I do however hunt from a climber and wanted to know if anyone uses them? lastly what are some good pairs that are warm. what is a good amount of grams?
