  1. Property has to be a personal loan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That's awesome! I have too many toys and allot of credit card debt but i'm working my way down the debt list lol. Gonna sell allot of toys so I can get land with the least amount of financing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks, I had my own house at 23 and now plan to have some land with a shop by 30 and i'm currently 25. I've looked at some pieces of property that just sits around and I've searched the owners names on OnXHunts app but haven't had luck getting ahold of them. Hopefully I'll have something soon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It was part of a 10 year plan I started a year ago when I started up the buiseness out of my home garage but when I found this one piece of land so close to home and lost it I went into overdrive trying to get the ball rolling Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I've lived here my whole life so I've been looking into what's aloud where. I do small engine repair so I'll have a 36X48 barn for my buiseness Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yes, most places I've found are commercial. That's why i'm looking in certain places Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Eaton isn't too bad, got a link to the listing? Brookefield is a bit far for me tho Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Ok I'll check them out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Madison county, the closer to Bridgeport the better, trying to find something 5-10 acres unless it's priced well. Currently looking at 5 acres for 15,000 also something that's not swampland as my wife has a horse she wants to have there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Yeah I don't search hunting land just land I general. I've tried Zillow, Trulia, realtor, hunt realtors, Craigslist. And probably more I can't think of. Everything's always 1 acre or smaller. I'm looking for at least 5 as long as there's woods or deer habitat nearby Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So i'm in the process of trying to buy some land to build my new shop on but I also want a piece that I can hunt. I've searched a bunch of real estate apps to find land but it's always hit or miss some stuffs good But allot is crap. Where does everyone go to search for land for sale? Hunt real estate seems to have the best options so far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. But my problem is I don't have allot of deer coming through the area so I don't think it will get eaten befor season starts but we will see how thinks go Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. LET EM GROW where do you get those? I like turnips but could never find a strong enough mixed bag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Ok that's what I'll do then. And we got allot of ash Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Ya the ones I seen was opening of bow. 2 days 4 in AM and 6 in PM but like 50 yards out. Then nothing for 3 weeks then we got our two then nothing rest of season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Oh and I have been cutting down a few canopying trees but don't know exactly how many to drop because I want the deer to feel secure around the plot. I'm probably just going to open up a big area and hope they don't stay away from the wide open. I'm right on a field edge with maybe a 20 yard by 20 yard area kinda open and there's a thick wall between the field and my spot I'm hoping they hide out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Ya I don't think what I planted is a reason they are not hitting it. And I understand that gun season they are pressured that's why I'm trying to see what options I have. There are allot of acorn trees and I feel like they stopped hitting the plot once acorns started falling. I still have a good strong deer run that I managed to get deer to take through my area that they didn't take at all last year. But I was hoping with as low of deer population in the area that I could try to bring them in and give them a reason to stay here. I've tried all kinds of scents and calls throughout the season with no such luck but I'm hoping if I go with turnips and winter rye next year they might stick around or come to this area more often. From what I've seen this year was a slow one for allot of people and my buddy who butchers only got like 20 deer throughout opening weekend and he usually does 30-40. Hopefully next year will be better Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Our plot now is only 10 yards by 8 yards lol was running out f time and it's hidden in the woods can't get a tractor back there. I don't mind using the smaller tiller it's like 26 inches wide but y only problem is the rocks. It's a stone quarry so I'll be hitting allot and doing damage to any moving parts so we will be picking up rocks for a while. So turnips and radish are good for winter? When would I want to plant those? Like august? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I need some opinions. I planted brassicas turnips and clovers earlier in the season and they obviously didn't last long. Now I'm thinking of going to a winter plot. Was thinking winter rye. What are your opinions and when/ how should it be done. Very rocky and don't have access to a tractor so I'll be using a small 3HP tiller and picking as many rocks as possible. As I've been hunting this season I started seeing less and less in my plot so that's my reasoning for a winter plot and I'll be using my new home made blind house on it. And although my GF and I got our first deer in this plot we want to see more next year. was seeing 8-10 a day opening of bow and went 3 weeks into opening of rifle before seeing anymore deer which were the 2 we shot. 2 spikes just over a year old. Thanks in advance for any help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Ok so I got some progress done here is some of the work... Here is the start to the floor... Front wall main frame.. All walls main framed.. And my buddy giving the ok on shooting height Shooting rails up, I used 2x6s so you have a small shelf if needed... Also got some roof framing done... Oh and did I mention it is Made to come apart with 24 screws like a puzzle?? This is what I did to clear room in the garage to do some automotive side jobs... I got part of the front wall plywooded as you can see in the pics of them stacked up and part of a window frame done but didn't get any pics. I just need 2 more 8 foot 2x4s and I'll be able to almost complete it. Opinions please Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. That's awesome! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I got a good location, my two man stand is currently there, nice heavy game trail(seen roughly 10 deer each day opening weekend but 45-50 yards without a clear shot) and a few rubs but I'm not gonna go with pressure treated because it's a budget build and I'm probably gonna upgrade in a few years but it's all kiln dried wood and I'm gonna roof it and paint it and thinking about going with some wood from the Amish up there because I can get 8X8 pieces 10-15 feet long for stilts. I got some going together already I'll post pics of it all when I get closer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Hey guys I'm looking to build myself a hunting blunt. Building on a budget and want some ideas. Sorry if this is the wrong forum if so could someone please move it to the correct spot? Here is my plan so far... Looking to build a 6X8 blind about 15 foot up on stilts and against a tree for wind support. I will be hunting with my girlfriend and a friend of ours so we figured a larger blind would have to do. I'm 6'3 185LBS and will possibly be using bow out of it. Front will be 6' tall and back 5' tall so snow and rain will fall off and not in our shooting lane. I plan on doing a door on the back wall with three windows in the front and one window on each side. Front windows will be 10"H X 16"W and will use single piece of glass that slides up with a string pulley system, side windows will be 10X20 and slide sideways either direction for easier shooting. It will be built out of scrap 2X4 and 2X6 base for structure all of which will come from pallets at my friends work... I will be using a heater and possibly sleeping in it every so often and might put a drop door with storage and/or a cooler shelf to be built into floor. What do you guys think? Any ideas or questions? I'm missing a few things I'm sure and will start a thread once it starts coming together Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
