The temps are good overnight if he dies and that is better that he's alive now if you are taking the AM approach. If it's liver hit and you have a lot of yotes they may find him first. But you are correct without permission there is not much left to do. Good effort and good luck

That is not great sign...but it is not necessarily bad sign either. Get permission, wait to hear from deer search until around 7pm. By then if you have permission but no dog give it another go alone. If you are not sure of deflection then you are not sure of POI. Non lethal Pass thru scenarios include: 1. Way forward 2. One leg 3. Backstraps

If they are busy you'll be lucky to get them out there...Do your due diligence while you wait...it is your responsibility if you want to continue your search. If it's a liver hit you could have another 4-6 hours anyway.

Shot placement/deer orientation any bloody beds along the trail does the arrow smell of liver? Deer search was a good move but keep trying the neighbors for recovery rights cuz I don't think deer search will "take care of that." If you are waiting for deer search stay off the blood trail

Making breakfast for the kids made some fur myself first...my wife settup the display on the table for our 20th anniversary (since we met and started dating)!

I have not been truly cold in several seasons...clothing technology is just too good nowadays. I do get sore after about 5 hours tho...I hold my bow upright the entire time.

I love his videos but he's even said 2 hrs before sunrise!! That's a lot of sitting in the dark (or slinging in his case). I try to be in 1 hr before legal.
