    Hunted the blizzard, got blown around til 8am. I got down and tracked for 3 hours got within 5 yards of 2 different does but I am not good at jump shooting I never fired. I was crawling under downed apples and thickets. Was fun and tiring. Was hot on a good bucks fresh trail with a piss soaked print and all but he went off the property:3 fresh rubs in this pic, 5 where I was standing there. Had to dig myself out of the parking lot. I was already exhausted!

    32 about an inch of snow at my Newfield Lease. Was set at 5:40. Tons of frozen beach tops down. Very quiet no wind yet. With my miracle 7R tag from hunter in my pocket and snow falling it feels like Christmas to this old kid.

    Did not score a deer on this scorcher but I did score a 7R for my lease from Hunter! Looking forward to a lot of private time on that 60 acres this gun season. Thanks Hunter and Huntingny

    Typically no not with this combo inside 100, but it's been a long crazy season already so I'm not taking anything for granted. Gotta see one first, had 45 minute long encounter here last night...come on dinner.

    Thanks to huntingny. A real big thanks to hunter for offering up his 7R without asking for anything in return neither tag nor access. Im hopin we get a chance to meet up on my lease sometime so I can thank him properly!

    I switched from the sluggers a few years back after several pancakes that barely penetrated a couple deer I shot and actually just broke the knee of another that I got a second chance at a few days later after I made the switch to KO's. IMO a quality shift occurred w/sluggers about 4-5 years ago.

    Agreed. I actually prefer KO's + smooth w/a fiber bead over rifled/scoped shotguns. I dropped what a thought was a doe at 100+yds last season...tiny spikes burnt my Reg tag even tho they were close cause I felt a little guilty.

    I do have the either sex and antler less bow/mz tags so there is still hope but the way this season is going I'd like to be sitting on my lease on Saturday ready to drop dinner. Im ashamed to regail you all in the specifics of my failures this season but one involved a P&Y Buck I had rattled in perfect (on 10/26) and this cover branch I was certain I had cleared:
