  1. Mine aren't as intricate as yours but I tackled the addition on my home mostly by myself. Had some buddies help me set 2nd story walls so the amish could set the trusses and put the metal roof on. One thing that torqued my shorts a little was when they set the trusses they didn't plumb the walls very well so attaching interior walls was difficult but I managed. Everything in Tyvek was added we went from 1600 sq.ft. cape to 3000 sq.ft. "farmhouse" as my wife wants to call it. The Bathroom is the master bath, I'll have to see if I can find some of the other stuff. We have been doing pallet accents around the house. I did a small built in out of pallet wood and will have a few floating shelves made from pallet wood. Her decor them is farm house. Looking back I would have liked to moved the vanities to the other side of the bathroom and added a window or 2 instead of just one in the corner. either way we have a ton of natural light from the master bedroom.
  2. Guessing you mean for the sports, how about Kneeling for the national anthem. Here is why you won't see it in the NBA, they have a rule against it not because they have more respect. 2) Players, coaches, and trainers are to stand and line up in a dignified posture along the sidelines or on the foul line during the playing of the National Anthem. https://www.sbnation.com/2017/9/25/16358070/national-anthem-protest-kneel-kneel-rule In 1996 Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf was fined and suspended for sitting for the anthem.
  3. So as a spectator we are supposed to ignore it? I refuse to watch any sport(s) that allow players to disrespect the people they are playing for. Your argument was that they don't do it in professional sports and they do. Never said it was okay but you said he was castrating himself and it didn't look that way to me. Majority of the time you see any sort of self mutilation on television it is in a bathroom sometimes in the bathtub. I'm pretty sure that is where they were going with the cartoon, either way it was a reference to people doing bodily harm to themselves to get their way. Basically an adult tantrum.
  4. Here is the thing, those deer that the coyote hunters use are usually from the same area the deer were killed at least in my area on the corner of Steuben County, Schuyler and Chemung. As much as I like to see your photos there is a problem with the way DEC is doing it. If they found roadkill with 5 miles of your property than sure why not but to have them trucked from all over the county is bad business and will eventually lead to the spread of CWD. I would rather see the farm deer with CWD than wild deer. Imagine the spread you would have from a wild deer vs a farm deer. Coyotes, and birds of prey have a huge range making it a lot harder to contain and stop the spreading compared to farmed deer. That is common sense but we know how much common sense comes to play in Gov't agencies.
  5. He is trolling those against crossbow legislation. I'm not scared and surely not surprised. I don't think anyone is surprised by the number and it will continue to go up when you can hunt with a implement that is basically a gun during bow season.
  6. Pretty sure he was cutting his wrist. Hhaven't you seen the hunger strike that got a college professor canned? It was just last year, can't remember what it was over but something about the college girl living with him and she got mad over something.
  7. I'll say this. In 8W where I live and hunt most the season I can count the number of deer on my property on 1 hand granted I only have 40 acres but I haven't seen the numbers that DEC thinks there is out there. Even if you drive the local roads and glass fields at dusk there isn't much in a sq. mile. The neighbors all say the same thing. The only time you get a DMP is landowner. I wish for 1 year they wouldn't give out any DMP's for the area and let the population get a nice little boost. The amount of Coyotes in the area is absurd and need to be thinned.
  8. Haha thanks, I never said death threats were okay. I'm also sure Ingraham didn't send him or tweet a death threat about Hogg. The issue is that the youth has too much power over what is going on with little to no knowledge other than the emotional side. Hogg has no agenda other than his 15 minutes, sure he watched people get killed but how many kids younger than him see it everyday? I don't see them up on a podium demanding guns to be banned. The issue is the ability to get illegal guns and the government agencies dropping the ball. Has nothing to do about calling someone names. They both need to grow. She mocked him who gives a crap, he threw a tantrum and got his way.
  9. So a kid has balls when they get someone fired over mean words? What exactly is okay or good about that? Is it okay if your kid called the cops over an argument and you're detained because your kid was scared? How about that Emma girl that bullied Nikolas Cruz I guess we can just say the school got what was coming? You're an idiot.
  10. I have been looking for a couple Gadsden flags, any recommendations on where to get a decent one to hang outside? Saw a few on amazon around $25 but wasn't sure of their quality.
  11. There isn't anything denoting how permanent what I am getting at is what are they going to define as permanent. Does that mean not being able to be taken apart or does that mean once taken apart it can no longer be used? I'm not refuting the law it is just gray as to their "interpretation" of permanent is. If you took that plug and epoxied it to the follower would that be considered permanent even though you could buy a new follower or possibly break the plug to make it hold more again? I mean there is a line but no one can tell us where that line is.
  12. I use it so my wife and FIL know the approximate location of my stands. I will move a few of them based on where the deer are moving through so they never know where. I also use it when I put up cams. It is hard to keep track when you move them every week or so and on 3 different properties. The wind cone is a nice feature but in my area the wind changes with the thermals so sometimes it isn't always the most accurate.
  13. The pictured one goes inside the mag between the floor plate and follower so I would think it would be considered permanent, Otherwise you could just throw a rivet in the side of the mag.
  14. No more or less permanent than a fixed mag. AR. In reality it would be for the person that had a bunch of 30 rnd. mags and didn't want to go out and buy 10 rnd. mags. Also from the LEO's I know and have talked to they aren't going to drop the bottom plate of the mag pull your plug then reassemble and proceed to put in more than 10 rounds. Just to write you a ticket. These are the same cops that said them and their department will press the mag button and pull on the mag if it doesn't come out you're good. They will not try to take the weapon apart to try and release the mag. No benefit either for looks or you have a bunch of the 30 rnd. mags and don't want to spend the money on the 10 round mags.
  15. Should have stood on the limb then he wouldn't have been hit by it.
  16. Not necessarily, you can get inserts that go into the 20 and 30 round mags that only allow 10 rounds to be loaded. Like a tube plug for a shotgun.
  17. I didn't vote for Obama but I still had civil conversations with people that did. Unfortunately it isn't the same way today with those that didn't vote for Trump.
  18. The "big cities" you can't carry in without permits and/or written permission from the police commissioner. Big cities like NYC, Chicago, D.C., ect. It is very difficult or even impossible in some cities to get a CC permit without being LE.
  19. Well if the 2nd amendment is considered a relic then the constitution is as well and no one needs the 1st amendment anymore than the 2nd and so on. So why not just start all over right? I mean according to everyone against the 2nd amendment and wanting more gun laws it was written too long ago so I guess everyone needs to surrender their right of free speech, freedom of the press, no need for a judicial system, I could keep going but I'm sure you all are getting the picture.
  20. I'm referring to the voters, obviously there are people that hate Trump just look at all the MSM. I was referring to the fact that there was a lot less publicized hatred of Obama than Trump (I think the race card played a big role). Any chance the media can deface Trump they take it whether it's true or not. When people are held accountable for their actions that they have gotten away with for years under another administration they get all butt hurt then they slander Trump. I haven't been around for a lot of presidents but I can say I love Trump and what he has done so far. He doesn't back down like our previous president. Trump's accomplishments won't be given any credit by the media and for me that is okay because I know they are bias and trying to make sure he doesn't win another term but if he does good by the people that voted for him I could see him winning another election. You have to realize all these people protesting voted for a different candidate not Trump so they will do anything to hurt the people that voted for Trump because they aren't going to be able to touch Trump himself. Half the people protesting should be on the NICS denial list by how crazy they act toward other human beings. I'm not sure how people can have such a strong hatred towards another human being.
  21. I think less publicly yes, also I don't think hatred is the word I tolerated him as president. I never hated Obama just the policies and "deals" we got into as a nation under his reign. Now people literally hate Trump, I think it stems from his tell like it is attitude and people are too sensitive to take it. I don't talk politics with my wife because she doesn't care or know about what is going on, but all my friends voted for Trump so we just make fun of the left and their wanna-be, snowflake ideas.
  22. With the laws on the books it wouldn't allow civilians to obtain anything more than what we already have. For example if they made a firearm capable of faster fire rates it wouldn't make any difference being we can't own fully auto without special tax stamp and a butt load of paperwork and approvals. For the average citizen what we can have now won't be much if any different in the future. Just because technology evolves doesn't mean we can own things that are already illegal.
  23. Just my family alone goes through 4 doz eggs a week. I was thinking of doing a portable unit so I could move them around but my biggest fear are the fox, yotes and birds of prey. Those were my main reasons for not allowing free range. It shouldn't be too bad where I want to put them, I want to put them at the end of my driveway on a cement pad. Would a pad be a bad idea?
  24. I've been wanting chickens but don't want to do free range is it tougher to not do free range? I won't be to the scale of you but still want farm fresh eggs. I was looking at getting 10 RH reds to start then adding as time went on. Any pointers for a newb? My plan was to keep them a little ways from the house to cut down on the smell and poop right next to my garage. We used to have chickens on our farm when it was a working farm but I was young and don't remember much other than getting the eggs and butchering them.
  25. I will say that in order for them to repeal the 2nd amendment all but 12 states would be needed and I don't see that happening anytime soon.
