    Right now I like the leaves resetting the tracks daily. Lets me know what is fresh if I can spot them. With the ground being soft I can tell if leaves are smushed into the ground but not covered by new leaves dropping that they are fresh.

    I was 99% sure I missed my deer last night but couldn't find my arrow. I was up at 2:30 am this morning needing closure. couldn't imagine if I drew blood so I feel for you. I found it with no blood on it. I'm humbled and learning a lesson about calming down in the moment of releasing.

    Yeah I hope so. Just an FYI . Broad heads are detected by an inexpensive metal detector and fmj's are detected the whole shaft.

    That smile still cracks me up. That deer is definitely happy to live another day but I think he was a little ticked that I scared him off his giant scrape before he was done.

    I thought you guys would get a kick out of this. Last night just before sundown I completely missed my target number one buck at 30 yards broadside. Complete failure. I was so bummed. I got in and told my family the story. In the morning I go to leave for work and my 4 year old shares this picture with me. notice where the arrow went. Thanks Buddy! It actually made it all better.

    Food, my stupid phone that keeps my head down so I don't see whats out there, my binos, an atomic fireball at the appropriate time, other food, a short walk or stand and pretending that I see something to get my hopes and adrenaline up so I stay alert. The last one is usually the best. I trick my self a few times a day.

    Not to change this thread but is tapatalk the way to go? I hate stuff. When I open a site on my phone I choose to open desktop view. It's just familiar to me.

    Ok so I get an hour and change tonight in the stand. Temp is comfortable here in 8n tho a little breezy. At least it's blowing the right direction.
