  1. Have always wanted an O/U Shotgun and getting close to pulling the trigger on one. This will be a grouse/pheasant/woodcock gun utilized with a GSP. Leaning towards Browning Citori Lightning 20 ga. 28" barrel chambered 3" (accommodating 2 3/4"). Any thoughts??

  2. Got 3 of the 4 on boards. The 4th and biggest is still getting fleshed for European Mount. The 2 smaller ones are my children's.b9aa5e6ca7fdf0456502852a11f8eadf.jpg

  3. Horrible, 3 blade rage ,never again. This big boy is thankful though. I haven't told anyone except for my dad who helped me track the 200 yard blood trail til it dried up. I hit him at 7:30 in the first days of archery, walked straight lines for hundreds of yards the rest of the day from the last blood spot ,we ended up getting pics of him on the trail camera a few weeks later which really set me at ease. It must have been a solid shoulder ball hit because it only entered the depth of the broadhead. Sick to my stomach for weeks until we saw him again perfectly fine.

Mine very similar but I think the fixed broadhead was the difference. Only type of hit that concerns me regarding mechanical heads. Good luck with that buck next yr

  4. Yesterday was the PA gun opener and I was lucky enough to witness my 13 yr old son shoot a nice 8 pt, (his 3rd buck) at 11:30, and then jump in the stand with my 11 yr old daughter and watch her get her first deer, 3 pt buck.

Wish I could do this in NY. Making a child wait until 14 to harvest a deer with a gun is RIDICULOUS!!

OK - off my soap box. It was a great day.

  5. There was no blood trail. I fully expected with the amount of energy being carried and with shot placement that this round would've created an exit wound. Had I not heard the deer crash, this could've been a different outcome with the lack of blood trail that would've been assisted with exit wound. Thanks

  6. Harvested a deer yesterday utilizing Hornady 12 ga 2 3/4" sabot slugs. Deer slightly quartering towards and the shot placed behind front shoulder. Deer expired 75 yds from impact but no exit wound. Expected more from this round.
