  1. Nice. Good luck on the recovery.
  2. Got a video of this guy on my live camera feed this morning. I'd pass him but next year he may be real nice.
  3. I use a Savage 110 in 30.06 with a Nikon scope 3x9-40. The gun shoots exceptional with remington accutips 165gr.
  4. 3.5 year-old. probably score 40. Dressed weight 75 pounds.
  5. Agree with hung4. It's been getting better everyday. This week should be even better.

  7. Also, getting a fresh tail from the butcher this morning from another buck and going to hang it with some mono-filament on the rear.
  8. Thanks Grow. From what I'm reading if I set it up as a doe the other does may come to it and get alarmed, start snorting and make a racket and a buck with them wont have any of that. They say does wont come to the buck but a buck will now to get him off his turf. Friday morning I saw some pretty intense sparring with some smaller ones so I'm going to go with it. Thanks.
  9. Need some advice regrading using a deer decoy right now. I haven this really good buck who has just entered my area that I haven't seen on any of my trail cameras or in the stand and I've been out a lot. This morning he was with some of the local does that feed on my lawn every morning. I glassed him from the garage and he is a huge 8. I was sick that I didn't venture out but I want to plan an attack early in the morning. Should I make the decoy a buck or a doe or not use it at all? All the smaller bucks seems to have disappeared since he showed up. I'm thinking making it a doe and to introduce some estrus scent on her. Appreciate any thoughts.
  10. I live in New Windsor (3M) and have trespassers occassioanlly. I posted heavily and it seems better. 3 years ago I almost got shot by one shooting a deer I was letting go. The guy had the nerve to argue with me after I climbed down and killed the deer after he wounded it on my property.
  11. Look into Stewart State forest. there is a lottery for the first week of gun season.
  12. I enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing it.
  13. Agreed. Everything becomes a debate here. Just state your own preferences and experiences and share your thoughts.
  14. I'm with you. Never had a problem with the WB. Used it over the last 6 seasons with much success.
  15. SSW is tough for most of my stands. Only one will work but may go out. Not a fan of high wind bow hunting.
  16. 2 spikes and 6 does this morning. Spikes were interested in the does but not crazy. One of them started rubbing tree nearby which was fun to watch. The big 6 I was after broke off his right antler so I was bummed to see that. Deer are active for sure.

    Buck bombs?

They work good. I spray it on everything going to stand and the product seems effective IMO.
  18. No doubt. My buddy took a 10 last night. They're pushing. Good luck.
  19. Just got back from tracking a 10 with my friend at night and we got him. He's thrilled as it's his first nice buck with the bow. Dressed 160 and was chasing.
  20. SF... try over on Forester Road. I walked up on the bird and flushed him and the fields are a little better there and some are mowed. Just passed by there today. Good luck.
  21. I live a half mile from there. Got one this season without a dog and A LOT of walking the fields and from what I heard they didn't stock much. Maybe later in the season may be better.
  22. Well I ventured in the world of live deer cam feed using WIFI behind my house. If you're interested send me a PM and I'll give you the link. Don't want to it public yet. Pretty happy with it.
